As far as I know, they're only used for camo. Bear paws are used in stews though, but those seem useless.

The Boktai music gave me a massive craving to play Boktai 2 again. Too bad it's been cloudy as shit recently and it's annyoingly difficult to play on a Gameboy SP and I don't feel like burning AA batteries on my GBA that I'd have to dig out.

Someone pointed out a screencap from one of the tutorial screens that showed 30/30 beds, so maybe there's a way we haven't discovered just yet.

Oh wow, someone else that actually played it. Considering it only sold like 300k units tops in NA and 100k units in EU I'm suprised to find someone out of 124 IPs here has played it. Now that you mention it, I played it on the SP fine. I even did the trick where you put a penny/paperclip between the two with the solar item on for a day to max out solar energy thanks to the lid. The real pain in the ass was playing it on a fat DS since the DS covers half the sensor. Guess I know what I'm playing again the moment it starts to get sunny.

I tried that once, it's just not the same. One of the best moments I had in the game was beating the boss inside my house, dragging the coffin to the solar pillars, then looking outside and seeing the sun had almost completely set. It doesn't really cost that much to outfit them properly. I gave them a blue bolt action sniper, 2 legendary chest pieces I saved from when i used them just for this purpose, and 20 cans of horse meat and that had a 100% success rate. Stuff for gear isn't as rare as some of the stuff you can send them to get.

My man that sp model plays fine in the sun its got the gba type screen doesnt it. unless you meant a later model. And yeah i guess boktai was pretty niche i never found 2 for sale. And 3 being jp only but at least there's a patch. The cross promotion with battle network was pretty sick btw but rip for 6's stuff getting dummied out.
Did you play lunar knights it was also good plus ingame sun gimmick. Its the only one i 100% because the rest require mp stuff

Honestly I'm going to play it on my DSlite since it sticks out further. I highly recommend getting 2 physically if you ever can. I think I got lucky and saw it at gamestop for $12 and bought it on a whim. I tried lunar nights ages ago but no solar sensor was a huge turnoff so I probably never gave it a fair try. Didn't realize 3 got a patch, might give it a shot sometime later.

Yeah id like to get 2 someday in emulator you have to mess with the solar sensor to while forging and i made it work but its just annoying. And do give lunar knights another try if you enjoy the gameplay of 1 and 2. It even lets you stick them in the gba slot for some energy and life bonuses i think.
