I actually miss the relic farming of 4U.
The fact that some weapons had 4+ skins that could be the best weapons in the game was neat and made any 140 GQs worthwhile (unless you don't want a particular skin).

Granted, it was RNG, on top of RNG of top of RNG and people basically would do only Rajangs since he had low health but still, I had so much fun on it.

Most of the game should be do-able just fine without knowledge of japanese language. At some cases you can use the Google Translate app on phone to take a photo of the screen and translate it. Might take a few days to get used to but you'll start to recognize the symbols and memorize what most decorations or items are.

Odoggo's IG raw is just too low, you may gain a lot of affinity with it but you still do no damage compared to Nergi or Diablos IG.

There's some stuff like that in World, but they put it into the environment instead of into a monster's moveset. Things like the Rathalos Dam, or the sinkhole above the Diablos' den.

Bow is the easiest ranged weapon.
DP spam is good but optional. Constantly charging DPs is risky.

In general, power coating is never bad. Close range coating is pretty good in this game as well. The rest of the coatings just do what they say on the box - throw para on to paralyse a monster for free hits, etc. Use sleep, put on power coating, charge up and use DP is a pretty easy way to get free damage, but largely dependant on what your bow can use of course.
