What part of manual modding do people find so intimidating and dangerous? It's just drag/dropping folders and activating the mods in whatever manager.

The part that is intimidating is uninstalling something broken/that you don't like. Hunting down files and finding/making backups is a problem that makes manual installation unfeasible for any setup with large modlists.

Turns out he took every individual file from the zip (except the fucking esp) and lovingly placed each one individually into the data folder instead of leaving the folder structure intact. He couldn't be bothered to fix it, uninstalled, and to this day insists Morrowind is "a buggy pos that doesn't even run on a modern rig"

yes you need the whole stuff. and it's just basic skeleton of enb. you can worry about presets , as TrueVision or Rampage later after you have no problems running it.
