Maybe artillery as well? Something with looong reload, but huge splash and "20mm AA" tier of damage. Literally a towable howitzer.
But how would you aim it? We can already see that ****star vehemently refuses to implement sights more complicated than a dot on your screen or a crosshair.
With bombs, you can at least pull a dive to greatly increse your chances of hitting someone. With howitzers, you'd just have to guess where it lands.
Either way, another glass cannon would be fun to have in this game.

So, A-10. Here's how I would implement it.
Explody cannon - big range, way longer than existing jets.
Rockets - 10 rocket barrage; buzzard tier homing missiles.
Armor - ability to tank 5-6 rockets and like 4 rpgs/tank shells before dying.
Countermeasures - none. Maybe chaff, but definitely no flares.
Handling - lower pitch rates - no diving. Just slow enough so it can't outrun/outmaneuver rockets. Can just tank "slow" rockets or pop chaff against spammy rockets. Definitely no dogfighting capabilities.

Any thoughts?

Explody cannons, buzzard rockets, 2-80 degrees elevation range. Armor to tank 2-3 explosions and maybe chaff.

Should be an absolute bane to aircraft, but can't point it's weapons down - vulnerable to ground vehicles.

It is an off-road vehicle but specifically designed for sand dunes and overall desert off-roading. I do agree this mission is garbage though.
