So, I'm writing some shit for a CSA run, and I'm trying to determine how the USA should be dismantled.
My main problem is determining what should happen to Montana and Wyoming. While Columbia having the Rocky's as their border in Idaho makes sense, that leaves Columbia with 3 states and the plains nation with 7.
Should I go with the Rocky's as Columbia's borders or have Montana and Wyoming join them?
Of note, British Columbia stays with Canada

I'm playing Kaiserreich for Darkest Hour and I'm having issues holding the front as the American Union State

The USA always keeps pushing me out of Texas and never stops with their stacks of better organized troops and it's taking foreeeever to get troops out (three divisions on Jun 21 '37 apparently).

In the North, Patton usually kicks ass but several times he's (or his accompanying German volunteer unit) gets their asses kicked by overwhelming force.

seems like your army is pretty sparse, you might not have got all the possible volunteers
play extremely defensively and let the CSA and USA bleed each other out
Use the terrain map, make defensive lines along mountains and rivers, but as few provinces as possible.
I would give up Texas and Alabama and try to extricate your light infantry there from Lafayette, pull back to that river at Mobile and reinforce+recuperate a bit.
Also, DO NOT let the commies take Atlanta
