North Korea seems to be getting by on nothing but that

For now, but it's starting to fall apart.

Norkor is a lot of things but falling apart is not one of them.

I'd say an autonomous "deep state" apparatus that you're not entirely sure what they're up to half the time because they're not accountable to anyone is more a useful tool to a state than a military.

>it's starting to fall apart

Source please

>autonomous "deep state" apparatus
What would be an example of this?

not him but i've heard that the military actually hates kim jong un

it could be bullshit tho

Cia, NSA, state department

>Is there anything more important for a government than military loyalty?

When you say "military loyalty", do you mean support from the guy charging towards the enemy's trenches, or the officers?

>I've heard that the military hates Kim Jong Un
>it could be bullshit tho

Obviously. Did the "news site" that reported it interview a high-ranking official from the NK military? Or did they get it from a South Korean tabloid?

Couldn't those be considered a part of military, an intelligence branch if you will?

Well the cia and department of state operate totally independent of the military, so I'd say no.

Well if you have the officers wouldn't the rank and file be disposed to follow suit?

it's from a reliable source

trust me, my dad works for kim jong un

I spose. But is that the rule or the exception?

till he got fed to the hounds, right?

Yes, civil loyalty.

Depends on the discipline.

Social cohesion, economic success, stable diplomatic relations.

The whole "execution by dog" is a proven South Korean lie made up for sensationalism and to sell copies of magazines.

Are there many examples of an effective rank and file mutiny. One that threatened the state's stabilty as a whole.

There lots of examples of long reigning regimes HATED by there subjects

I know I was making a joke about the commenters credibility
