Not sure which system I prefer though. Its trivialised to the point of not appreciating it in MHW, or rather, its just a nuisance. You don't even need to go out into the world to farm for shit after a few quests to upgrade the tree.

But then I think maybe the old games were a bit too harsh on crafting; you even have chances to fail, on top of needing to farm even more mats, with only a basic multiplication functionality.

Something inbetween would probably be best.

Can you obtain Monster Bone+ in high rank? I haven't gotten one in forever and I noticed I just need 2 to upgrade my weapon twice since I have all the materials for the next upgrade already.

Honestly? I'd drop WE, it only affects your slams and sweeps. Which while nice if you can hit them on weakspots realistically only about 1/3rd of them will slap that magical spot of big dick damage, you might get more mileage out of attack up. Earplugs is kind of pointless, you have a shield that can block roars. If you REALLY fucking hate anything disrupting you grab guard+5 and see if you cant fit in guard up as well.
