the game rigs matchmaking with two conditions, finding a team that both a. has a unit within a variance of your highest scoring unit and b. an average of the rest of your shitters
but if the rest of your shitters are too low comparatively you break condition b because no one runs defense units with just one +10 and 3 shitters
so you get bullshit high matches forever
there's places that explain this better but that's the jist of it

the catch is that there are some people that do run +10 units with level 1 teammates, and you'll just run into them forever if you score exactly in that range
so you want to tweak your matchmaking until there aren't any defenses that land in your specific bracket to force it
