What do you think of modelling each Race around a specific mechanic, that is having Dwarves get artillery/armor bonuses, the Counts getting manpower replenishment from non-core territory, and Orkz getting a debuff (that could eventually lead to internal fragmentation) when NOT at war?

why is EU4 so laggy? i tried to play it once but the game was incredibly laggy. i can play CK2, vicky 2 , stellaris, .etc all without lag issues, by EU4 is just very slow. is there anything I can do with files to make it run faster?
