Simple combo, but not a practical one. Uses Genex Undine, who is a 1 card combo machine (except in this case where it's a 2 card combo).
Upsides, Gryphon is safer.
Downsides, no tagout.

The MD Altergeists don't have enough ATK and rely on Protocol, Silq and Meluseek to deal with things, which are all effect based.

We've learned nearly the entire contents of the set and it's shit regardless of those cards being short prints or not. People were saying this set was on the level of Light's Revenge and that's a laughable notion.

As a collector of old and obscure cards, for it reprinting Mikazukinoyaiba alone is a win in my book. I'm guessing it was purely as a joke since it has 'kaiba' in it's name, but I'm happy.

Some of the pack filler shit is extreme garbage like White Hole and Anti Raigeki, so it's blinding people to the fact that this set has pretty much the entire Blue Eyes and ABC core, every relevant hand trap, Raigeki, Utopia The Lightning, Beelze, and AFD.

Obviously Kaiba nostalgia cards are going to be in the set, user.

If you're expecting sets with NOTHING but good cards you're playing the wrong game. This is nothing new, quit bitching. Ash, Droll, Raigeki, Demise, Beelze, and Lightning all got reprints. This is a win in and of itself. And the set has plenty of other good shit.

Light's Revenge was nearly the perfect set with tons of amazing reprints. A 100+ card set with a dozen at most good cards isn't worth shit in the long run. Getting handed scraps isn't a win in of itself. That's the type of attitude that continually gets you fucked over because you're so used to Konami fucking up that when they throw you a bone you celebrate and overpraise them.

BLLR was an exceptional set, but the operative word part there is "exception".

But even that had some stuff in it that no one would ever use or want.

Marzipan, it was confirmed they reprinted a lot of the shit stuff from back in the day as fucking Secret.

They have no reason to reprint all these trash cards other than pack filler.

I am just going to buy Singles the Friday after it drops and hopefully this whole thing blows over. I am also prioritizing buying from Australians first, then Brits, then Canadians. Fuck the Burgers caving into the Italians lie.

Most of the stuff people wouldn't use or want in that set was imports that had to get over here. The worst of the reprints were a few Lightsworns that didn't need it. The other shit like Crusader and Cactus Bouncer had never been reprinted. This set is the complete opposite. It isn't full of shit that has never been reprinted. It's full of garbage. They could have at least went wild with the dragon theme that the set is pushing with King but didn't.

Again, not going to deny that BLLR is a great set, it's currently the only box I've ever purchased. This set just happens to have really high highs, and some real stinkers for the lows.

The irredeemable garbage cards like Anti Raigeki are a real gut punch for sure, but having all that other stuff in one place is really good. There are also a lot of cards I don't personally care about, like all the old vanillas, but I recognize that they're tradebait so eh

Anti Raigeki is actually a really good reprint. It was hundreds on the secondary market because of how rare it was. It's shit like the VWXYZ pieces and Heavy Mech Support Platform that are the gut punches. They just got reprinted and are garbage.

If you for some reason filled your whole backrow with set cards before seeing Denko and don't have at least 2 spells in grave with access to Rei, and your opponent drew one of his 3 Denkos but you didn't draw Solemn Judgment or Warning AND you don't have the field spell to just clear out one of your backrow and add a card, then sure, I guess Denko would be moderately disruptive.
But thats a lot of fucking ifs. Save Denko for Paleozoics.
