From what I can tell with my vast experience of the game even when the new summoning methods come, there will be some decks sticking out even then.

Gladiator beast will be one of them they have a reasonable good match up against now meta decks (duel links).Specially with Pendulum Summon. As long as Konami doesn't ban bestiari like in the TCG.

I've seen a lot of defense decks for the gladiator event get posted but no attack decks. I've also heard a lot of complaints about the lack of defense duels in the past few days so this might be a bit more relevant. Anyone interested in sharing theirs?

This is the stall deck I've been using since day 2 of the event. It's been working very well as the AI is extremely predictable and doesn't play around lava golem. The only games I've lost were due to my own mistakes and I've only lost 3 this entire event. Worst matchup is 30 card decks with many ways to get rid of lava golem and no card draw as the match will end in a draw.
