bow's dodge is better than a roll, i think. or at least easier to use. you're also usually far enough from him to come out of the covering your ears before he attacks.

Is it just me or are the gem drop rates for Nergigante MUCH higher than any other monster in the game?

When I do golden investigation quests for Nergigante, I feel like the drop rate for gems goes up to like 40-50 percent.

But when I do golden investigations for Teostra, Kushala or Vaal, the drop rates still feel like only 10-15 percent for gems.

For the HR100 quest, are the tempered elder's health not reduced like it usually is in multi-monster quests? It felt like it took me the same amount of time it takes to kill them in individual quests

Doesn't count for Vaal, according to the databooks that is Teo/Kush only. Funny thing is Teo head break is literally just 200 to flinch and 200 to wound while Vaal is 300 to flinch and 900 to wound... mean while Kushala is 300 to flinch and a whopping 1500 to wound and can only be done when it is weakened.

That for me is the beauty of the LBG and HBG in World. As someone who loves shotgunning in games, I love how the game allows for Close Range mods that reward players who play it close to the monster.

Shotgunning monsters in the face with Spread 2 on the Jyura LBG or Spread 3 on the Nergigante HBG is one of the best feelings. The sound of the bullets, the sound of the impact, the sheer damage you do, and the constant flinching you cause all just combines for a very rewarding playstyle.

Even without the Rocksteady Mantle, I can still take down Nergigante in like 5 minutes at the very most. It's extremely fun and satisfying to blast all those shotgun pellets and breaking all of his spikes.

Good fucking lord, how could I forget to mention the Impact Mantle? Yes, the Impact Mantle feels fucking awesome to use in combination with Spread builds.

Speaking of which, I have a bunch of KO gems. I want to know if using them on my HBG build in combination with Impact Mantle can knock out monsters even quicker. That's going to be my next project after I get home from work.

Yeah no. Fuck that. The only monster you can reliably kill with spread HBG without Rocksteady is Nerg because you can just lock him down, but against every other monster HBG in melee is fucking risky.

I'll stick to Jyura LBG with spread. Honestly. i think the DPS of Jyura can compete with Nerg Spread HBG because it loads way more of Spread 2 and the 1.2 and 1.5 modifiers from LBG/HBG respectively are gone in world (What the fuck did Capcom mean by that!?)

It absolutely does work, and the only reason I don't run extra KO gems is because I don't have enough slots after slapping on Ballistics and Normal Shots. I suppose I don't really need to former, since I'm fairly certain that critical range for normal and Spread is short enough that it doesn't matter if I have Ballistics or not.
