None, make one for each weakness. Do not neglect awakened weapons, they're the best in their respective element, except paolumu. Spamming falling shield bash will probably work on normal monsters, tempereds will make quick work of you, its better to use it when they're downed. Make liberal use of spiral slash, its probably the best thing about the weapon. Your backhop has i-frames, also use helm splitter when you know it will hit, does a ton of damage and mounting damage. If you time it right you can repeatedly shield bash a monster while you're mounted, timing is tricky though. Skills you want are the same as pretty much every blademaster, however I find I don't really need handicraft if I have a protective polish deco, just sharpen before the fight and go to town. Oh and you can also use your slinger while mounted, so shoot some shit in the monster's face.

It gets better when you move on from blocking to evasion.

When you have a shield and a gun and you don't use them, then you will understand the gunlance.

Bazel has atk L, xeno has like 2 good songs and 2 level 3 slots, teostra's has status immunity and status boost, and obviously you know nerg's has earplugs and affinity. Gama is pretty decent overall too but the aesthetics kill it for me.

I suppose this is fine and all if you no investigations at all, but the moment you get a tempered Diablos, you need to be sniffing it instead.

i'm like hr80, have never farmed investigations, got my attack, sharpness, NEB, crit boost and expert decos, so you know i've played a lot of tempered investigations.
takes about 2 minutes to get into a group with others, and i think maybe 5 hunts with pugs have been failed? as in, a surprisingly small amount.
so yes, seeing as i like doing hunts, rather than farm the opportunity to do them, i do wonder.

Yes. And you should be aiming for T2 unless you're aiming for Hero stones.

Regular diablos. It leaves a new track every 4-5 steps or so, and it covers ground pretty quickly
Diablos can see you from a good ways away, so you have to be careful and take advantage of ghillie mantle when you can.

Its honestly gorgeous and packed with detail, I can tell it was the first area they worked on. But yes I get lost there constantly, also having to climb up and down, just takes so much damn time.
