I'm having a lot of fun invading and helping out the new players but I'm kind of disappointed that most of them summon help for their first try against a boss. I've probably helped like 10 or so dudes against Amelia and all of them have summoned another guy and me for their first try.

What do you guys think about this? Yes, they are allowed to play however they want and I'm happy to help but I think they should at least try it solo for the first time.

For many things yes, everyone should just do what they want. Summoning for a boss first time is flat out wrong, though. They’re robbing themselves of a proper experience. Might as well watch a Let’s Play at that point.

Whereas I'd prefer they'd fight by themselves...they are paying for the online privilege, so they should use it, you know?

When I get summoned I hold back, only really intervening when they can't get a chance to heal and draw aggro. It helps teach new players to do things alone, a bit.,

I thinknI have probably been smashing the cleric beas and gascoine with the bloodletter the most so far.
I have to be careful and slow though or they will die in just a few seconds.

I've been playing a naked dude BoM skill build for the first time. So far the BoM sucks so much but I'm planning on running CD for a Burial Blade or DLC for Beasthunter Saif. Never have used those either.

Lowest level that can summon you is 65 so that's around Yahargul/DLC/Mensis/Upper Cathedral range.

Most people run through the DLC at arounf BL 70-90.

The setting/atmosphere combined with the asymmetric and spontaneous multiplayer is what transcends Soulsborne from being ''just'' a game. I enjoy the idea of being one of many hunters in Yharnam/Lothric/Lordran and also the idea that I can appear in other people's games as a cheeky message, a phantom passing by, a helpful co-operator, as a hostile invader or as the area boss. The singleplayer world especially in BB just sucks me in with it's eerie and lonely but very comfy and at timrs beautiful atmosphere where you feel like a reasonably average joe caught into something much greater instead of the typical fantasy treatment where the player is made the world's focus.

The gameplay is extraordinarily good, and I love the story and setting. I have well over a dozen ‘completed’ characters (chalice gems) and I still love the main story the most.

Been getting invaded some in woods, maybe 20 times, around 10 different people. Lost to a unzip vilecuck, someone with rakuyo, and a bolt saif arc character. Haven’t seen any other wheel twinks though. But most people who invaded me were definitely twinks, only one or two wasn’t. Tried getting invaded in frontier but only got 2 invasions very far apart so I gave that up. BL43 btw

Dark Souls 3 is hot fucking garbage with its online, but they got the matchmaking right with weapon upgrade levels actually being important. Still, having a blast invading, lots of activity in Hemwick and forest.
