Sure, bashing stuff on the head with your stick is strong. But shelling is stuck in the same place it's always been.

After watching videos for XX, I'm starting to become interest in getting it.
I didn't like Generations (mostly because of slow HR grind, HR restricted content ((Akantor locked behind hr60 wtf)), hayabusa feather grind, weapons had to use x/y style to be competitive, etc) But after playing World and looking back at XX videos it looks like XX might be what I'm looking for in a game.

As of right now there is nothing to do in world and a lot of the monsters are piss easy. I've taken to doing naked hunts I'm so bored. Every video of XX i've seen had monsters that were actually aggressive and seem to have decent hitboxes instead of the passive shits in world with retarded hitbox (nergigante groin, hello?)

Anyways, should I homebrew my 3ds and get i there or get a switch? I have generations save on my 3ds but i think i'd rather start over. And I already regret buying a ps4pro for world because there is literally nothing else for me on this console outside mh. So i have a $450 paperweight.

How to fix shelling? The damage it does doesn't seem worth the sharpness it rips through.

It hits harder than both charges before combined. The little flip does less damage than a tackle so you want to wake monsters with the final hit only.

How good is the english patch, is it just the bare basics to push me into where i need to go or is it 100% english

yep. in a recent JP patch they gave elemental shells/heat blade to extreme style too, so they are back on the menu.
i really wish mainline would pick up heat blade and have it as an optional modification or something.

ele is good in this game. hell, ele bow is the best weapon in the game

You remove element cap, then G-Rank is going to be a Element Meta.

The cap is 33% of the element. It sucks on weapons with low element, but on weapons with high element (lance) it's godlike. Don't buff element or nerf the cap. It's there for a reason.

There are a few rarity 6 weapons that are sleeper-OP, usually Jagras variants, because of NEB and triple augments. And by "sleeper-OP" I mean "not noticeably worse than diablos weapons".
