Remakes of the Genesis games in HD (like Sonic 2 HD) with a not-shit framerate. Maybe with some of Sonic 3 Complete's QoL options too, but those aren't necessary.

You don't have to be some amazing artist to criticise a thing, but I love how that guy is one of so many generic weeaboo style furry artists who draws magical anthro ponies.

If I wanna get really autistic & go into multiple posts about a Sonic game that gives something to almost everyone, I'd say this:

>Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow & Blaze as the base characters
>Sonic, Shadow & Blaze's gameplay style is a refined version is a Boost, where the mechanic is not as powerful (as in that you can't just run headfirst into enemies without taking damage, you can curl into a ball to destroy them, the Boost is also more of a reward for building up your speed), the Boost gameplay also brings back the Trick System of Generations, with the levels being full 3D, with alternate pathways
>The other characters are pure momentum based, full 3D gameplay with certain things that makes each character unique (Tails can fly, Knuckles can glide, Amy can use her hammer to gain better height or something)
>Tone for the story is a balance of light-hearted & dark with comedy in proper moments, stakes rising throughout the story with a satisfying climax
>Chao Garden & even has an online feature where you can trade chao's with people across the world
>Speaking of online, the game will have an online multiplayer mode & online leaderboard
>Level editor
>Steam Workshop support for mods

I don't think the Sonic Movie will be Sonic X: The Movie like people are saying. I doubt Sonic will befriend a lonely middle school boy and solve all of his problems all while stopping the big bad guy like most chidlren's CGI/live action movies. That might have been the case if the movie took place 10 years ago but definitely not now. New Sonic isn't like that. He doesn't care about anything besides himself and having fun bullying Eggman. New Sonic likes to not take anything seriously and make bad jokes and reference memes. He does not care for the uncool, the lame and mundane. The Sonic movie will be probably be bad, no doubt, but Sonic X:The Movie with live action Chris Thorndyke isn't happening
