Depends on time efficiency or point efficiency.
Work is more time efficient but has less points per work and uses more jewels overall.
Spamming MM is more point efficient due to filling up the gauge, and uses less jewels overall, but it takes a while and is pretty tedious.

Play with a unit filled with dupes of your favorite idol so your get random ones per play. Works well with the all songs and helps you raise affection in the meantime.
