An open invite was posted in Luger's Discord's EU channel for KUMA members to access it too, though few bothered.
A name change process was being facilitated because clearly a bunch of KUMA members considered it important. Yes, there was a huge gap between the topic being brought up and any action being taken on it. With the management being made up of 60% ex-KUMA blame for that should be apportioned accordingly. When it was finally undertaken to do something, ex-KUMA management offered essentially no input or effort.

Of the 8 suggested names put forward, 6 were supplied by HOTELiers, 1 was supplied a KUMA acting in good faith (according to the façade he was maintaining) and 1 was a KUMA shitpost. It did emerge before the vote concluded that some of the names thought to be available were not, but even the submission of the clan leader - the one with the surest method of checking - was guilty of this (possibly a ruse to make a casus belli out of the delay, considering [YOU]'s circumstances). Slight alterations to the winning tag could have made this a non-issue.

During the merger negotiations Kitty agreed that he would be a neutral chair between the HOTEL deputy picks and the KUMA picks until the two communities merged and a management team could be chosen without such distinctions. Unilaterally handing the leadership to a KUMA loyalist for him to immediately install his own circlejerk as deputies does not fit that brief. Kitty now admits that he never genuinely intended to act in a neutral fashion.
