When does Battletech release?

Does user have an MWO unit?

April

You're going to get redirected to an empty mumble that plays more of some shitty tabletop game than mwo.
For all intents and purposes, this thread has no MWO outfit.

>these mods

We have Haruko, Haruko, Haruko, Haruko, and hey look! Haruko!

We used to play tons of MWO but the game has been getting worse and worse for the past year.

RPGs are more fun anyways and why we lost MRBC.

If you're euro primetime there's always several people who play every day religiously.

If you're american primetime, it's more of a gamble, sometimes a group appears and does private matches, sometimes nothing.

Poor time to run out of mrm ammo

Protect the VIP mech with your life!

You voted for that shit, you do it!

>ITB in the OP

>3 killed by yourself
>2 more mostly killed by you but end up assists
>2 more on top of that kill secured
>hit pretty much every opponent that died

More like a bad time for your team to stop functioning.

Can't run out of ammo now

I told you, bro. I told you about Warhawks a year and a half ago.

Warhawk is pretty much how harabec said it would be.

I guess I really should have tried it out before now.

D A Y M

>game on crimson strait
>enemies all over the place
>I'm getting focused and I can't figure out why
>suddenly realize why
>my ENTIRE FUCKING TEAM is packed into the tunnel, doing fuck all
FUCK this map. And FUCK the people who play this game. I'm never gonna get this event finished because of all the retards silently leaving me to die before I can do any damage.

Playing just to get a tasteless checkerboard camo on a Mech you normally don't use isn't really worth wasting time on anyway.

Show build.

You can quad ERPPC with plenty of other Clanbots, but I think the WHK-Prime is the only one that gets the quirkage (mild as it is) to go with it. Of course, if we ever got the Hellstar...

It's just a 4ppc warhawk with max sinks.

Can't look more generic than that.

>Ape fucking Ril
>an entire TWO MONTHS away
>soon
nice...

It's about as bland and lethal as it gets.

Bigass Clan assault with as large an engine as you can stuff into it for lots of heatsinks. Add ERPPCs and more heat sinks. Murder everything with (in tabletop) heat-neutral build.

It'd be a bit more efficient than the Warhawk in that regard, and the guns would be closer to cockpit height all-round.

Greg, Zeus-9S2 build now.

So we got the following mechs on sale at the moment:
IS:
Jenner
Griffin
Catapult
Zeus
Clan:
Myst Linx
Shadow Cat
Orion IIC
Warhawk

And next week we'll have:
IS:
Panther
Blackjack
Dragon
King Crab
Clan:
Arctic Cheetah
Stormcrow
Timber Wolf
Highlander IIC

What are your picks /gerg/? Any recommendations? Anything to avoid?

Wow... I'm surprised. I didn't think this thing could do this decently.
I didn't even lose my ST despite thinking I would for sure, so maybe I could even run an XL in this thing. I might actually upgrade it to an LFE, right now it's running a cheap STD 280 that means it moves super fucking slow.
Team damage is from "accidentally" emptying my SRM arm into a friendly Warhawk that suicided into the enemy team, I would have felt bad but all it really did was blow off his arm and he died a few seconds later anyways.

Orion IIC. Still one of my favorite Clan heavies and can be fun to fuck around with on all kinds of missile heavy builds, not just the trial SRM one. If you don't have the Stormcrow already, absolutely that. It's just that well balanced. ACH as well.

Flee screaming from the Jenner and Panther. The rest are OK in varying degrees, though for the tonnage I'd really rather have superior Supernova to Lowlander IIC.

Griffin 2N
Catapult K2
PPC Warhark (for funsies)
Orion IIC, most of them are tanky brawlers so if you like that, any will do.
King Crab Kaiju, it's just stupid fun then again most KCs are.
Cheetah is good, any are fine.
Timber Wolf is still good despite people groaning about the engine desync. I prefer the JJ in the CT version.

I fucking love this game cause everyone is a braindead retard that has zero fucking clue where they want to be and chooses the worst positions humanly possible. I bet a self-learning AI would be better than the average pub player within 100 matches. At least it would learn from mistakes.

...

>Rotary Autocannon
>even remotely fucking balanced
These things are cancer holy shit

>open CT from brawling
>Piranha comes around a corner and looks at me for less than 500ms
>dead
nice.......

I take it back, the Zeus is fucking dogshit. I can't wait to get enough KMDDs to be rid of this thing.

Zeus is not a KMDD getting kind of mech.

I fucking hate it, it's such a fat piece of shit. You always get focused down because despite the fact you have anemic weapons people know they can get a juicy, squishy kill if they shoot you.

I have the SK, 6T, and 9S and I like them. Their good for flanking

Is the trial Catapult serviceable or am I going to have to shell out for a Catapult?

The Trial catapult is dogshit but if you're good enough anything works.

>It's another pubbie commander wants "everyone to camp out at C5 and let them come to us" match
HAET
TEAM

>chemical lasers

Actual BT weapon, and I thought they were just fucking around on the name...

What's that from?

Eugh, I was really fucking hoping 2x HPPC Catapult would be good but nope.
I guess I should have known 30 extremely hot damage would be garbage even if it is pinpoint.

>first time on crimson straight
>walk my LCT up a highway to check our flank
>call out a king crab that just popped out a corner
>the guy alpha strikes me, killing me instantly

probably my shortest match ever

I thought the Zeus was bad but I think the Catapult is even worse...
Why are 90% of the mechs in this game garbage?

>thinks cat is bad
lmao

PPCs have to be the worst joke excuse for a weapon in any game, ever.
Two HPPC Catapult is by far one of the most underwhelming mechs I have ever used, this thing is gimmick garbage tier but then again so is literally every PPC mech I've ever used.
I'll just slap LPLs on it and maybe it can be redeemed.

If you want to ppc run a proper ppc boat like the warhawk or summoner.

Catapult is all about the missiles.

So you mean something done way better by a Mad Dog, Archer, etc?

Archer is kind of trash. I say this as someone who owns all the Archers.

Maddog is fragile but also good at missiles, but it's also a clanmech so they're still quite different.

...

God these shitmechs make me want to die.
The Jenner is dogshit out of the Oxide, the Griffin is mediocre at best, the Catapult is an overhyped piece of shit, the Zeus is absolutely one of the worst assaults in the game. The Mist Lynx is completely outclassed by the Piranha, the Shadow Cat does literally no damage, supposedly the Orion IIC is decent but I HIGHLY doubt it and the Warhawk is another bulky clan brick that dies if anyone looks at it for a few seconds.

>supposedly the Orion IIC is decent but I HIGHLY doubt it

It's easily one of the best trials on there right now in terms of maximum brawl. It's a threat until dead or out of ammo.

>thinks everything is shit
Sounds like pilot error.

The concern is that its lumpy geometry and status as a clan mech will make "until dead" a worryingly common concern.

Git gud, trash.

if everything is shit then doesn't that make the field fair?

There are good mechs they just aren't any of these ones.
The Mad Cat Mk II is good, for example.

>any of these

IS Jenner either has the 6 energy or oxide that are both very competent mechs.

Griffins have the 2N, 5N, 1S and 1N and Sparky that all have competent builds available for them. Either SRM, MRM or laser vomit varieties.

Catapults, while cursed with giant box hands, can still run good builds. C1/ C4 run MRMs like nobodies business, K2 is great for a plethora of ballistic builds.

Mist Lynx is tankier than a Piranha and jump jets let you get to places/ attack from angles your all-torso gunned enemy can't shoot back at you from.

Shadowcat runs memegun + laser or missile + laser builds pretty damn well. A little fragile, but really nimble for a medium.

Warhawks can fucking BRAWL with ERPPCs when fully skilled out and properly built.

Literally a case of YOU need to learn to fucking play, because holy fuck are you an embarrassment to potatoes.

bamp

Watching people aim in this game makes me wanna barf. This must be the only shooting game some people play.

"IT JUST WERKS!"

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=623&l=81710a3cbd65d80fd9ebec948b28833573ffb8f9

if your trying to make cbills are consumables worth using?

Coolshots will keep you firing or prevent shutdowns thus keep you alive, which can make the difference between dying early or sticking around to earn more money.

Strikes can give you tons of damage, assists, and kmdds. All of which equal money, possibly paying for itself and even a chance of making extra bank. If you land it. I see plenty of strikes do nothing or little because people waste them or just get unlucky.

Most of the time, they'd probably be a net loss.

that's what i figured.

Not really, no. I can still make a net profit most of the time with 2-3 consumables actually used though it's greatly reduced. C-bill printing mechs and prem time definitely help, +80% income right there.

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=300&l=ed12ed4edeab18ea4fea55ea0db4e83946274cb2 do you think this would work?

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=300&l=17f4311996572051b79802b5520bf45423cf3820

Now you don't go assault speed slow

Why are so many people so shit at playing lights?

Pretty sure SRMbomb griffin is still better.

4x SRM6 = 51,6 damage at 270m, higher rate of fire than 2x MRM30's.

mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab#i=300&l=1e7992372a2a4acb77b1e9d9d14d6f1a8f4bef73

first match out seems bretty good.

i feel like the extra range and ammo eco more that makes up for the slight dps dip.

Robot Jox, giant robots fighting for different factions in arenas with a subplot involving genetically engineered soldiers. Basically a BattleTech movie covering Solaris and the Clans all in glorious 1989 era cinematography. Also inspired the final battles in S-Cry-Ed and Naruto Shippuden.

>C1/ C4 run MRMs like nobodies business
Can confirm

>Warhawks
Yes

I know Warhawk is good, but is it the BEST PPC boat?

...

they are balanced by the fact that they require huge face time
only the Bushwacker puts them to good use, along with the Marauder

Yes.

>the Shadow Cat does literally no damage
The Shadow Cat does literally more damage per second than a Piranha or Black Lanner while being heat neutral for minutes at a time on Terra Therma

Thank you, will buy for memes

>page10

Please stop making these threads. Thank you in advance.

>kong playing MWLL again

any fun jenners or griffins or do i skip them?

...

Aw shoot, we need the updated one.
No fingers, no /gerg/ General mistake.

Griffin 2N with ECM, XL280 and 2xMRM30s

Soon?

I love how absolutely broken the scale is in these arts
>Pine trees can grow to be up to 80m/260ft
>Goliath looks to be 11 fucking times larger than the trees at its feet, putting it at nearly a fucking kilometer of height
>80 tons
>a real life Abrams tank weights 70 tons loaded
>the 500m-long gun loaded on its back is just a regular PPC that does 10 damage :^)

Could be tundra. Also, Revenant looks damn sick.

pretty sure that's tall grass. Still though, you gave me a giggle, mate. Keep up the good work.

Yeah....no, I've got the TRO that Goliath art is from.

It's grass, not trees. Not that FASA was really all that good on scaling their minis, mind you.

The Revenant is a pilotless drone- part of the reason it's a quad is it's easier for a robotic 'Mech to keep itself stable.

>The Revenant is a pilotless drone
Yeah, I read the Sarna article, apparently the thing was a shitfest, but it looks damn cool.

Best K2 build?
