No. It's entirely situational. Expanded/AOE effect is meant for casual raids, hopefully coupled with an Arrow, Balance, or Spear if you got dicked over. Enhanced/150% or Extended/2xTime is meant for dungeons. Sometimes RNG fucks you over and you work with what you've got. Just don't expanded bole and you're already better than 99% of ASTs. Unless it's to mitigate incoming unavoidable damage and you've already got a HoT or shield up and popped Collective Unconscious, though it's rare to need that.
