Honestly im kinda confused whenever I see people say the DLC felt short. For me it was an absolute 9/10, just short of AotA imo.

Moveset wise CGS have a better running attack, but it's still not a great one and even if it were people can still roll away from you forever no matter how hard you try to rush them down, so that's arguably a moot point. GS have more poise and feel campier, which is how you "should" be playing if you want to win.

I goofed, they actually have a smidge less. I keep misremembering CGS poise health because I remember that it does GA/UGS poise damage but "has less health" which tricks me into thinking it's low.

Kinda, you just need to get used to the long range on his attacks during phase 2 and 3 but I don't think his moveset is anything crazy.
He's tanky as fuck and phase 3 can get super chaotic too, I wonder how many times you have to hit this fucker on NG+.

if I want a lightning weapon, should I go 18dex/60fth lightning infusion LKS or 40dex/30fth longsword with lightning blade?

40 or 50 Str, wield Gutssword and then eventually King's Ultra and/or FUGS. Dex is not very good for damage output since it scales something like 30% worse than Str, so you're better off focusing on Str for big weapons (Dex has its uses for smaller weapons as well as for poison builds).

If you insist on quality, Pursuer's is quite good, and is very sexy looking to boot.

You should avoid being under him or behind him as you'll never want him to do his tail swipe as even on ng it can hit for over half of your health even when wearing good armor and ring of steel protection

Makes sense, but I think I've been having a harder time dodging his front attacks than his tail swipe. Also very few attacks don't one-shot me while unembered in my normal gear
