Last Thread:

Right in my face.

RIP Gladi

Good shape and shit but in action it all becomes a blur.

Who are the best heroes for HM dragon solo in auto?

Would you let her peg you?

join soft

Should I T5 Ricardo now? That new perk sounds crazy, he's my PVP tank alongside a DPS Sonia right now.

Can soft clear GRH?

HM dragons have their quirks, so it's different for each dragons. Normally though, Frey, Laias, Annette, Priscilla are all highly usable in all HR dragons.

I know, but I wanna know who's better for each raid

Kek, my Laias just revived herself in BD

So who's the winner in this batch?

Is Clause usable? Can I just play for husbandofagging?

I give it to Mirianne, her original costume did absolutely nothing for me and this one is really cute.

He's widely considered the best tank in the game. And yeah you can make a solid husbando team, healer is the weakest point though.

There's no male healslut here?

well...

Is that even a boy?

Depends, you consider Astolfo a boy?

There's also this fag.

Leo is a man's man with his unbuttoned booty-shorts.

Funfact for newfags: Both are niche heroes that only shine in PvP. They're still usable in PvE story, but not in raids/WB.

Why does it feel like Vespa does great in building rapport with players by giving out tons of free shit but then they proceed to fuck it all up with shitty 'balance' changes and general lack of content.
It's like they didn't even do any testing prior to the current round of hero changes. Not even sure how long their generosity can paper over the cracks.

How big is the bulge ingame?

t. gladifag

Why is he naked?

Because it was a beach episode. But yeah if you want a good male healer your only choice is the big blue orc Kaulah.

Thanks user, I hope this Kaulah guy is a hunk.

Genderbend costume when?

He's a chug orc.

Fuck my life.

Just pick with your dick user, this game gets balanced all the time so if you're like these gladifags and invest cause of meta you'll just cry later on if you don't realize any meta power a hero has is merely temporary and is no different than buying a booster. The thing that stays is the hero themselves as in how they look, how they sound, how they move, etc etc. That's what should be your priority in the long term.

I mean I go into pvp with the team on the left, you know how fucking stupid that is using a physical tank with an all mage group with zero synergy? But I did that cause she's the one I want as the tank.

Unless you care about stuff like getting the max rewards per week and shit even taking Bau as your healer in the stuff he sucks ass in is gonna be okay eventually.

lmao I don't even own him and I'm pissed

For what? Who did they nerf that wasn't overpowered in what they do? I mean I guess if you're a Demiafag you would feel like shit cause she got nothing out of it, but have you even tried using her afterwards? Did you plummet from master to gold?

He's a cool orc though. Pretty dandy looking.

No, I'm not a female elf.

Shut up Reina.

I'm not into pvp, but can I clear PVE content using boys team?

They absolutely gutted Gladi, after testing there's not a single place I plan to take him after today. It's absurd just how hard they hit him when he wasn't even better than Mitra in single target and only a few steps ahead of Roi elsewhere else.

Yes. Not only that, even you can make a viable PvP team with only bois.

With this much of backlash, I think Vespa needs to rebalance Gladi again soon.

Not that I care though, I will never use male heroes if there are qt 3.14 heroes.

So, pretty much Clause > Kasel right?

Clause does a better job at protecting your team and tanking shit, His attack speed debuff is a massive help in a lot of content. Kasel is more about boosting himself and dodging.

Absolutely. Kasel is a very selfish hero. No one except hardcore fujoshis use Kasel.

user I get what you're saying but is he the worst melee dps now? Cause the way they told us, NPC heroes are clearly not meant to be top tier in the first place. After all, everyone doesn't need to luck out at the inn for them, and if they are always Gladi tier from now on then eventually who the fuck would even buy new heroes? How stale would it be? That's their approach to it.

So yeah he sucks now, without a doubt. So did Reina, and she's still not all that impressive. But Gladi had ages reigning as a top hero and was relatively accessible to anyone without RNG, just farming. He already 'paid' those who invested back unless they invested in him too late of course.

Again, any hero could turn out down the shitter, but if you're expecting every hero that gets nerfed to still stay near the top ranks then what about the shitters at the bottom? I don't think I've ever played a game that did balance with characters, especially games that introduced new characters over time, and had some mythical perfect balancing each time.

So unless you're telling me Gladi is worst than pre-patch Reina, I'm still gonna say it was obvious it was coming.

>No one except hardcore fujoshis use Kasel.
But Reina hates Kasel.

Is Mitra a good choice for character ticket?

He's very good at what he does.

NPC heroes were originally meant to be endgame but they arbitrarily decided to change it. From the Green Note:
>NPC Hero Recruit System was designed to give motivation to high level raiders.

I'm not going to compare Gladi who cost either tens/hundreds of thousands of rubies or 200m gold, 120k+ stamina, and tons of time to Reina who costs 4k rubies. Even then I'd like to see what a T5 Reina did at BDH and compare that to current Gladi.

Vespa flat screwed over those of us who worked through the grind, I started in November and just got Gladi a few weeks ago. He only released at the end of October, I imagine plenty of people were still working on him. After the Roi buffs that got him so close to Gladi (surpassing Gladi before Roi's T5 was re-tweaked), why would we expect Gladi to be gutted?

He's a single target focused dealer who excels at the endgame once invested into. I imagine he starts a little slow though if you're getting him as a new player.

How do you guys spend rubies? I saw some guides saying not to buy characters with them but it sounds like specific characters can be pretty useful for farming.

The old recommendation was to buy loot boosters and use those when fragment farming, but you can't anymore so my personal opinion is use em how you want it doesn't matter that much.

Discounted costumes are probably the best thing to invest in right now due to the exp/gold bonuses and mileage, but eh.

>NPC heroes were originally meant to be endgame but they arbitrarily decided to change it.
I did not contest that, I'm saying what they told us, aka the latest patch change.

>I'm not going to compare Gladi who cost either tens/hundreds of thousands of rubies or 200m gold, 120k+ stamina, and tons of time to Reina who costs 4k rubies.
You got refunded a portion. You get a UW discount that's permanent and scales with how hard you whale, and had you been faster you would have greatly benefited. You clearly didn't, which is why you're bitter.

I'm not saying you deserve it, you're just unlucky. You're right in that it was unexpected for this very moment, but if you didn't expect Gladi to ever get nerfed then I'm sorry you don't play games very much.

Now if you're claiming Vespa did a bait n switch, well I wouldn't argue cause I don't know better, but my point has always been that there was no way NPC Heroes would have stayed top tier regardless simply because it's a system that inherently cuts away at profits, do you understand me? It's just logical. I mean they could have buffed everyone else but Gladi until the same difference in performance stands, but wouldn't that be silly?

I feel ya user, Vespa shafted the hardcore and longtime players hard with this move.

>it's a system that inherently cuts away at profits,
Except Gladi was huge whale bait and the tell-tale signs of the biggest whales was a 4*-5* Gladi UW. The 6k rubies to buy heroes is chump change in comparison. You could buy every hero for less than just the ruby cost of one of Gladi's UWs.

>Except Gladi was huge whale bait
Exactly that, bait. Do you think they would keep pumping out NPC heroes then at gladi level just to keep baiting whales? How long do you think it would take for the already small population of players to dwindle further? If this were a short sighted company I'd understand your presumptions but given how anti-jew Vespa is you clearly had your warning signs.

Vespa is a new company, and one that admits to making mistakes quite a lot as it moves forward. What it isn't afraid of is change.

That you didn't foresee the nerf coming this fast is not on you. That you felt that the masses wouldn't have convinced Vespa to nerf Gladi and change the system so that the majority could actually acquire him as well as change the game so it isn't pigeonholed with him however, can only be attributed to your lack of experience.

This game has always had the motto of picking with your dick, and it does so for good reason.

>Introduced Lua's Tokens
>anti-jew

I don't see how this update helps anybody in this equation though. Whales have less ways to whale, Vespa loses money, whales just got shafted and may quit in retaliation, Vespa loses money. NPC heroes are useless outside of their discounts so regular players might pick them up but never use them and have lost a core endgame piece of content.

Who comes out ahead here? If Gladi were essential to win at Arena or get high scores in WB I'd understand, but that wasn't the case.

>not spending $1000 for a nerfed pumpkin
c'mon user, don't you like king's raid?

Is she the biggest now?

Lua Tokens are merely a system so that they can reward the whales more but at the cost of not being flexible with rubies. It's certainly profitable, but it is not without merits to the whales themselves, so long as they intend to actually spend.

Jewing them would be continuing the practice of Gladi and his UW.

It's a long term thing, they aren't banking strictly on the current whales. To begin with the game doesn't have enough whales to ever make waves like how FGO did, and unlike FGO this game has pvp not only in direct combat but also competition in rankings thus affecting pve as well. If they wanted to go full jew then sure it would be a wrong choice, but the CEO wanted to make a company that isn't like that. Whether it succeeds and sustains as a business model is something I dare not claim to know, but as far as chasing the model itself, the actions taken so far make sense and are smart towards that objective.

>Whales have less ways to whale
No, whales have more ways to whale, they simply need to whale less in total at the moment.

>so regular players might pick them up but never use them
Why? Because Gladi is weaker than Roi and Mitra? Do you really think everyone invests in Roi and Mitra? Do you think Vespa wants everyone to invest in Roi and Mitra? To always invest in the hottest flavor cookie cutter build? Think about what they are aiming for, and how conflicting it'd be to succumb to a temporary temptation.

>Who comes out ahead here?
The great majority of course, which is whom Vespa wants to eventually turn into consumers. Have you ever taken a study on gacha games? There's only two methods most gachas can operate by, one is relying purely on whales, the other is to try and balance it and build up a slow common denominator base through the masses.

This is a Korean game mind you, made by Koreans. You know what Koreans really like? League of Legends. Do you think League of Legends is profitable? I'd say it is.

Well, perhaps they went through their data and found out the amount of money made by Gladi was far less than what it would have been if they had sold a normal hero. Considering only a few handful of people are wealthy enough (and dumb enough) to whale on him for mere chump rankings and an ego boost, no doubt the rest of the users all merely farmed the hell out of raid points.
Lets assume it takes about 1000 dollars to get an NPC hero by out of pure cash in the past. Considering 6000 rubies is a normal hero's price, that amounts to 60 dollars ish.
Yes, a mere 17 people have to buy a character to outdo that, And that's not counting Gacha money from UWs and whatnot, and costumes.
You know how many people were farming Gladi. Compare that to how good he was as a safe pick in WB2 and Dragon raids...yeah, I'm not surprised he was nerfed and made easier to get.

I always burn 100 rubies daily for 5 double loot in upper dungeon ch 7. Then, costumes if it's good enough for my waifus. Other than that, reforging up to 2 times per item.

Exactly, my point is the system isn't sustainable. Whales don't just breed like rabbits, they are a limited population. Hooking them is not all that easy and unlike most gacha games the normal heroes don't need much investment to max out so unless they just ignored the rest of their game and focused on a new flavor of the month to carry everyone in a few areas it would not have been possible to keep up. The rate at which Vespa releases heroes to begin with is a far cry from games like FEH that pump a constant stream yet they aren't jewish enough like FGO nor do they have either games' core established fanbase and overseas recognition. It's a fresh game, fresh story, fresh characters. Logically speaking, now is the time to build good will, because only by doing that can you reap the cash cow later on. Even League of Legends like I mentioned, benefited off of DoTA.

This game literally just popped out of fucking nowhere. I doubt most casuals even know it exists.

Need to burn down this discussion, Vespa can do what they want from a business perspective but my personal opinion stands that I don't think this is a wise move from that perspective either. They'll never replicate LoL and they've already lost a number of $100k+ whales this year, they have to be feeling it.

>Why? Because Gladi is weaker than Roi and Mitra? Do you really think everyone invests in Roi and Mitra?
Then why would they have invested in Gladi in the first place? You can pick with your dick while Gladi exists, he was never mandatory for any content.

I'm with this user. In the end, Vespa is a company. It needs income. There must be a reason why they did what they did with Gladi.

The whales can shout "WE'RE THE ONE WHO THROWS OUR MONEY TO YOU BESPA, WE'RE THE ONE THAT GIVES YOU YOUR PAYCHECK" all they want, but if the whales' money only amount of 1% of the player's total spending, then it means nothing.

Then they better nerf Roi next because he's the new Gladi and he comes free. So they don't get the $1000 Gladi dollars and they don't get the 16x6k ruby dollars (which for some reason you're assuming people are buying at dollar value).

>Then why would they have invested in Gladi in the first place?
Because of the amazing UW discount? That's the real reason everyone invested in him, the power is just a side bonus, one that nobody with common sense would presume would last.

Of course you can tell me about those hidden heroes that give UW discounts and I'll eat my words, but until then.

Considering the fact that you basically never even acknowledge Gladi as a character, but only as a meta pick and tool to get you shit, it was pretty obvious how you play this game and I can only say that you failed to heed the warnings and advice which everyone pointed out. Just because a bunch of people were like you, doesn't make them any more justified. Gameplayfags will always exist, and gameplayfags will always be taken advantage of, because they want bigger numbers faster, to reach the end game asap, to kit their heroes out fully. And then what? Oh right chase after the next carrot dangling in front of them. It's a proverbial trap that you people willingly take, and if you can't accept that then you're always gonna be bitching no matter what game you switch over to, and that's a fact. Even at the height of Brood Wars you still had certain Koreans and basically all the westerners bitching about balance and shit, and what video game has ever come close to Brood Wars balance since?

I'm not saying you should always pick with your dick, being a gameplayfag has it's own joys but it's 2018 not 2002, everyone should know by now how the routine works. It's no different than gambling, or investment. Yeah you thought your blockfolio would stay solid for a year longer? Well too bad your bitcoins are shit now.

>Then they better nerf Roi next
Do you really think Roi won't be nerfed? Unless someone at Vespa has a hard on for him on the same level as Nasu does for Merlin it's impossible for him not to be mugged by 60 niggers with the nerf stick, though whether it's sooner or later is anyone's guess.

So Selene gets 100% crit dmg from her t5 dark now, she should finally be good, r-right? Right...?

So when do I start a second team?

Someday probably, but I'd of said the same thing about Bau last fall. Vespa isn't consistent at all.

She's good now, but you need to build new gear for her with crit.

She's mediocre-good before this patch. Now she's great.

Reina on the other hand...

>if the whales' money only amount of 1% of the player's total spending
It's quite the opposite actually. Usually the top few percent of spenders make up the bulk of mobage revenue and it would be in the best interests of devs not to piss them off.

Then again, if the game is gaining traction in JP the devs might feel that it's alright to screw over the older players this time because they have a new cash cow to milk. Here's to hoping this is a one-off.

where the FUCK is Viska?

No well Bau is different, because the fix they tried with Bau was called Scarlet you see? Cause Bau had nothing but pvp, so Vespa was like "well shit let's try to make a counter and see how it goes" since game devs generally don't like the idea of nerfing twice in a row as it basically means their judgment needs work. So they always tend to explore alternative methods. Course if the alternative methods fail, then nerf again.

It's just that well, Scarlet became a problem of her own and attention was needed there, so Bau wasn't punished yet so to speak. While Gladi isn't amazing in PvP, he still isn't terrible in it to the point of Bau in PvE ya know?

Sorry, I'm not too good with replying to stuff in Veeky Forums because I'm new here.

Anyway, about Roi.

That argument is faulty because while they do not get the ruby dollars from his character, they can calculate the popularity of Roi by looking into data of 1. how many people have T5'd him. 2. how many people have committed to upgrading his UW. 3. how many UW selector tickets have been used on it, etcetc. Take into account that all items must have a set value graph of sorts in terms of either rubies or actual cash, and you can get a comparison of Gladi and Roi. Now I do not know this exact calculation because duh, I'm not Vespa's CEO or Financial Manager. But if a simple grad student can guess this much, hey, it's not rocket science.

Business is not one dimensional. I was merely giving an example with rubies and a method Vespa might have taken in deciding about this balance patch. It is difficult to think of what other data Vespa could have gotten on Gladi because, well, he's so hard to get to begin with most data points would become skewed.

Late level PvP Bau isn't a big deal, it's earlier where he's just a complete Fuck You card to newer players who weren't told to buy a specific hero in order to actually be allowed to fight back. Vespa letting it continue this long is shit.

With Selene reducing her own crit, it's better BD set, RD set or both?

Exactly. Usually. Vespa is a company, and they would not risk losing their biggest revenue. That's why there must be a good reason they did what they did to Gladi. We don't know the data, so there might be an anomaly in their ledger that shows the fact that nerfing Gladi will actually do them good.

Let's just wait and see. If they actually lost a big of revenue, then they would do something about it.

Oh I agree, but the way I see it, they used Scarlet first as a testbed but also as a way to profit naturally, and then if it worked they'd release a few more or perhaps buffed the existing pseudo counters to Bau to better work their jobs. Basically since Vespa likes to take it slow, or at least attempt to, they will want to see how it goes gradually with each sample rather than enabling a bunch of heroes to easily counter Bau.

And since Scarlet is getting nerfed, I still predict that Bau won't be nerfed in say the next two weeks or a month since they wanna see the balance between nerfed Scarlet and how she counters Bau. It's not only used to analyze their specific match up, but how her counter to Bau might apply to other heroes or even future heroes.

Adding this a little bit. I mean, they even have the data of the EXACT number of flask used within 1 year. They must have a data that shows something that led them to take the decision to nerf Gladi.

Also the comparison of Roi and Gladi is kind of bad because:

1. Roi is not a safe pick in areas with lots of CC
like WB2, while Gladi is a safer pick considering his gimmick does not rely on a single skill cooldown being reset on and on and on.

(Roi's DMG suffers a lot from getting his combo ruined a single time, while Gladi does not have any such risk)

2. Gladi's x2 DEF Ignore 3rd skill is a monster in single boss raids such as dragon raids because their DEF rises with their level. On the other hand, Roi does not have the luxury of ignoring DEF, meaning the higher level enemies become, the worse his DPS will turn out.

3, Roi is also reliant on a state of 'bleed', which only he and Tanya can apply. Gladi does not have any such restriction and in fact can also boost the TEAM's P.dmg output with his Skill 1.

Even if Roi works well as a super glass cannon, saying he even compares to Gladi is an insult in my opinion.

>On the other hand, Roi does not have the luxury of ignoring DEF, meaning the higher level enemies become, the worse his DPS will turn out
This. This is 100% true. I was running a 3* Roi at Bd83 and was constantly outdpsed by a 1* Yanne and 0* Gladi. Enemy defenses are a bitch at higher levels and pure damage becomes more potent.

>Maria awesome boobs but the fucking bird is in the way
>Naila awesome boobs but claws/wings/animations in the way
Lewisia and Frey win by walkover

...

Yanne: Fair enough, she's supposed to be the Dragon Hunter too.

Gladi: No excuse, he even makes UWs cheaper, dammit.

I've no problems in WB2, he's not gonna CC when he's down and most of the damage comes from that anyway. Don't S3 if you don't feel safe. Not ignoring def is something you have to mitigate, sure, Phillop's shred or add some Pen lines / enchants. My Roi handles BD80 fine at 1* (18-20m dps). Bleed is mitigated through either a higher UW or different perk build, it's not a huge deal for me even now.

That just means you have the luxury of placing Gladi in the auto field while you always have to waste a spot in the manual field for Roi, though. This cuts down on strategical placement, probably.

gladi whiners and vespa brownnosers need to leave, this thread is for the girls

Unfortunately Frey's animations aren't that good outside of jiggling tits, while Maria's boobs aren't blocked much during combat and she sticks her ass out so unless you're referring to when you talk to NPCs I'd say it's a wash. I do make sure to hide Maria's UW though since the damn bird is much bigger than her summer one.

I do think Lewisia is probably the best bang for buck eye candy but she's probably the least desired out of all the titty monsters for newer players like me simply cause she isn't flexible. And while Naila's wings block the way along with the fact that she has one of the flatter asses, she does make up for it by looking really cool in her fighting animations. Ten times better than Epis and a hundred to Frey.

Viska or riot

She belongs with the rest of the wash boards.

Got something against DFC? :I

I'm more of a laundry machine person myself.

...

Does her T5 dark work better than before or worse?
