acting like 2D players having no idea what they are talking about when it comes to Tekken is anything new.

The gameplay flow in Tekken vs 2D games is very different. Matterhorn as a threat if the opponent decides to jab out of pressure or duck is roughly equivalent to blowing someone up because they tried to jump your command grab. Its a similar playstyle of threatening to do a highly risky punishable move in order to be allowed to get away with offense that would otherwise get shut down.

It doesn't make people jab or duck. It makes them SCARED to jab or duck, which lets the Lili player get away with shit she wouldn't otherwise be able to get away with.

Hellsweeps and other big knockdown lows are more comparable to commandgrabs much than a panic move.

Well, snake edge is reactable online, the problem is the delay. You can visually see a snake edge, press d, and still be hit. So in order to react to snake edges online you have to react to them earlier than usual. This is why it can be really hard to react to dragunov and asuka's snake edges because they are faster than the others.
And reacting to anything below i26 forget about it.

hold upforward a bit then press 4, some chars dont launch with it like devil jin and heihachi

Press up/forward, then go back to neutral for a moment, then press 4. Some characters don't have it.

You can react to it due to the audio cue, but it's hard as fuck and you won't be able to do it 100% of the time. It helps a lot if you practiced it though, because you'll react faster if you're looking for it.

Ignore them. Even low tier characters have their merit, the only factors that should be taken into account is 1. you liking the character and 2. the character's kit satisfying your needs.

Tier lists shouldn't matter to someone learning the game and just trying to have fun.

Poking means doing quick attacks to stop your opponent from trying anything funny and force them to play tekken

It's used to "check" someone. So you throw it out, back off, and see how the player reacts to it.
It's also used for interrupting things because it's probably the fastest mid you have.
And it's there to prevent people from ducking your jabs thus allowing you to not be ducked out of all of your pressure.
