Yes, he is fun to play. But he should have been a bruiser, like Artanis, but with burst and less focus on defense and with an ability to force 1v1.

Meta is actually useful in some instances (no good hunt targets, etc). But hunt is generally the better ult.

How's Tyrone right now? Is he strong? Is he fun? I bought Maiev hoping she would resemble Phantom Assassin from Dota but was gravely disappointed since to deal damage you have to hit at least 2 targets with your Q with weird hitbox which sucks and feels underwhelming.

Caught a lucio who was giving my team trouble all game in it (as well as 2 tanks), sonya jumped on lucio, I followed with howling blast and then my root from tempest. Blew him up under a keep, killed the tanks, finished the keep and pushed core.

Exactly as said You don't pick tyrael to do damage. You pick him because he's an all positions warrior that can either prevent dive (and a shit ton of damage) or strongly assist dive and enable/support the people he goes in with.
He does fairly poor damage himself unless you're the type of genius who excels at maximizing warrior damage and can pull 70k hero damage on arthas/johanna with burning rage-esque abilites but makes up for it with excellent utility and one of the strongest 'fuck your engage' ults in the game.

Arthas really helps learn tank fundamentals like bodyblocking, you can use your slow to get in front of people and prevent them from getting past you so your dps can just hammer them.
His frostmourne talent at level 1 also lets him do some pretty decent damage - the amount of times i've absolutely dumpstered an overconfident zagara is hilarious.
