With the other attachment slots, the downside of choosing one thing means passing up the other items you could have chosen. There's no alternative choice for the laser sight slot, so the trade-off for choosing it is the laser being permanently visible, possibly giving yourself away to the enemies. Making it a toggle erases that downside.

twitch drone got it. Her drones have 5 shots that can be used to destroy your gadgets. Keep and eye out for them and guard your disruptors. alternatively put them out of sight so that it would disrupt the drone before it jas the chsnce to get destroyed
