When your opponent has 4 counters on their monster, 3 backrow set, how do you know if you should special summon overlord first or take counters and destroy backrow first? I tried destroying backrow first but the dude econ tribute his monster I got owned.

Xing only fuck 1 card and slow, AMA is legit, but trap holes still fuck you up so is other non BP traps, HEY doesn't have AMA's weakness.

Xing locks down two, although you probably meant Gyoku. The non BP traps can be chained onto Hey, unless you have no monsters on the field at all. Xing is definetly slower, but locking down is better than bouncing back unless you win that turn.

The best thing it really does is cuck Floodgate. AMA has the advantage of not fucking over your own lockdown and being unchainable.
Hey also does nothing to SSA.
It is obviously going to be a great card, but it is being overhyped like it is going to destroy every single deck that uses backrow.

Hey, Trunade!!!!!! will pretty much replace AMA for me since it prevents floodgated and econ or anubis in the main phase giving you uninterrupted lethal when you've got it. Obviously the downside is it doesn't stop SSA

You're forgetting the part where it sits dead on the field until your opponent uses hey trunade or abyss soldier. And if they don't run either, then you have a literal dead card

You can trigger it yourself. Teching in this and gravelstorm would be super spicy.

Both Hey! and Xing go well together as well. It would force the opponent to set one at a time after a Hey! unless they want to get both backrow Xing'ed instantly.

Be real though, now you just went -2 so you can draw 2 and discard 1. That's just not good.

If you don't already have a deck, might as well go with aliens like everyone else. You're guaranteed a fully complete deck with that many gems. If you have aliens already start trying for some backrow like cosmic or floodgate.

Curious to understand the other summoning mechanics I've come to the conclusion that Pendulum summoning is broken, Link monsters are literally a forced mechanic that was probably supposed to try decrease the reliance on extra deck mechanics, and fusion summoning is probably insanely obsoleted now unless the fusion monster has some really broken effect attached to it.
