I've been playing as HU/FI and I feel like the Sword portion of it is designed around being an autist savant with Ignition Parry. In other words, I'm too much of a skillet to play this at a high enough level. While I clear all solo content fine and all that, I feel like I'm being a useless sack of shit in group content, doing less DPS than everyone else. That's not fun.
I'm having fun with Summoner but I've been thinking about playing GU/HU until I can set up my pets and all that as SU(/FI).
Aka if you're bored, help sort my shit out. I'm too new to this game to know most of the classes past the very basics, sorry.
SU How do I actually Summoner atm? More specifically: - Is Brave Stance FI a great subclass or should I go BR for stance dancing? - Which pets do I use for most things? Is it MaronMaronMaronMelonAero or something or is Maron bad now after the old nerf? - What do I affix? I gather I affix S-ATK if it's SU/FI but what else? PP or HP? - Is Alter Ego 10 the way to go or is it a meme?
GU - What's the GU/HU skill tree? I tried making a good one and ended up with 120 points spent. There's too many good things. - I want to play this with Atra TMG with a Gunslash S4. Is that good? If not, I might just go BR/HU because the life leech makes it seem interesting - What do I do outside chains? Which are the good PAs?

I mean, as long as you're using Rising Slash and Nova, on top of using Guilty Break, 300 IQ Rideslashers, and precharging Over End, you'll generally be fine as HuFi. You don't have to ignition parry everything, but knowing when to ignition parry is still really important.
As for Su, run SuFi, max out Dear Master, tank everything during AE, run with as little HP as possible (just more than 1HP), and maron bomb the fuck out of everything.
Popple is for mobbing. Aero is for stationary downs when you dont have Maron ready to throw. Synchro is a good alternative to bossing. Viola seems to be pretty good now too but I dont know enough to actually recommend it.
Br sub is dead. Don't bother. SuFi only.
S-atk is preferred, but Tatk is okay if you dont want to invest in Satk affixes and/or you already have Tatk affixes.
Alter Ego 10 is what makes Dear Master retarded. Or vise versa? They feed into each other and thusly into FI sub.
Atra TMG with Life Steal on GuHu is good. Helps maintain PK and HT.
Outside of chain, a lot of DA and SA with the occasional IF0 or Elder depending on where the target is and how long they stay there. Since 100 chain CT basically means less than 5s of cd for Chain, you can chain over and over and over so you shouldn't be finding yourself not using chain very often.

Thanks. If either of you wants to bother writing that much to help, though, I'd love to know how to use the pets exactly. I'm on the level of just trying to get the Melon(/Maron) to glow red and then toss it, or just spamming Aero Stab and maybe precharging the Spiral.
And if you have time, I'd love to see some kind of a GU skill tree that shows the "must have" skills so I can try building on it. It's probably me not knowing anything about the class for real, but it does seem to me like there are actually multiple viable options depending on how you play it.

It's been ages since I've run Su. I dropped it half way through EP4 so I havnt kept up with the updates outside of skill trees.
I run GuFi, so my skill tree is generally different from GuHu, but this should be the bare minimum for GuHu trees.
I only have 1 decent unit atm because I havnt been as motivated in the past few months. The only thing I managed to get done during boost week was a Astral/Pow6/Phrase/Grace 8s Katana.

The version of las vegas that we had as an LQ a while back where you used jumppads to move around was significantly better and more fun because you didn't need to use a device that isnt super intuitive to use and doesn't involve your ping when getting on and off the damn thing. It also means we dont have to worry about UFO Etrials which are the worst part about Vegas quests. Plus the map was simple and most importantly static.
It's bad enough that PUGs are have such a huge variety when it comes to player quality; you think the average player is going to even bother attempting memorizing how to optimize a bunch of different variants of the same quest?
A simple and static map means people eventually learn how to run it making things faster and less tedious and actually more fun.
