Is Digital Devil Saga called Avatar Tuner in other places, or is it something different?
Jason Reed
that's the subtitle in JP versions

Reminder that Persona 5 copy/pasted its final Boss from Bayonetta: Bloody Fate >Character fights a giant fake version of the creator god >As a last resort end up summoning a fake version of the devil >A character comments on how fitting it is for this demon to fight a god >Both the protagonist and the giant summoned demon take out their guns >The false god is shot in the head
>A character comments on how fitting it is for this demon to fight a god i must have missed this for p5, who says it? I don't remember anyone commenting on who the MC's final persona is.
David Evans
Morgana. He doesn't mention him by name, rather as a Demon Lord "If a god plays naughty, its a demon lords duty to punish him" youtu.be/LMCQwn1f_jI?t=3087
Persona 5 is the worst Persona and the Persona series will only continue to stagnate and worsen

I have a hard time buying that when 2 and 1 exist. inb4 "but 2 had a good story" Fuck off,you have to put up with so much dumbshit card grinding it dillutes the whole experience so bad you don't even care. Well,if you cared in the first place with how wacky every character outside of Tatsuya tries to be.
>the best games in the series are actually bad and worse than muh dating sims, g-guys Hey buddy, looks like you are went to the wrong general by mistake, /pg/ is what you're looking for. Bye!
2 is an awful game and I don't know why you'd defend it outside of having Maya as your waifu or some pathetic garbage like that. Somehow it manages to play even worse than the cash-in MMO IMAGINE and it was a fully fledged single player ATLUS game with that unholy card system, dumb maps and cruddy rumor system.
Shut the fuck up you filthy feces lover. There's legit something wrong with you when you can play the mainline games, move over to or remember Persona 2,dabble in the other Persona games and be like "Wow P2 was the best! What the hell happened?" Even Persona 4 was better and that was such a snooze I literally fell asleep while playing it. Mainline should have given you some damn standards like jesus and P2 is WAY below them. It doesn't even get the dungeon crawling right because it's messing around with shitty Isometric crap and don't even get me started on the combat.
Woah Did you know you can also beat the game just hitting attack? Seriously that's such a stupid fucking meme. You could beat the game with Tatsuya if you wanted it doesn't make the journey through all the aforementioned junk worth any more.
hey so.. if p3,p4 and p5 take place in the same universe with a couple years in between, that means that tartarus, the tv world and the metaverse exist simultaneously? how come they are so similar?
Mainline? SMT1 in terms of gameplay, apocalypse in terms of story. Atlus games in general? Ronde
Andrew Perry
Have you played Ronde from start to finish?
Nathaniel Nelson
Not him but I've played through the first battle and it was more than enough to tell how terrible it is.
Christopher Rivera
Giten exists but that's a weird case, though I think it may rival Ronde if counted.
Also I would argue SMTII is worse then SMTI overall because of the fuck ton of backtracking and shit like the 12 pillars.
Cameron Clark
Easily Apocalypse. The terrible plot drags down the great gameplay mechanics, non-Divine Powers characters, and effective rebalancing. I can't finish Apocalypse because I don't want to sit thru 50+ hours of Flynn Dick Sucking, and mindless chants about Friendship.

Citra made a big leap in speed yesterday as long as you have an nvidia card.
SMT 2: >Worse UI than SMT 1. >Worse negotiation than SMT 1. >Game gives you MAG shortage in a game where the main appeal is having a demon party. >Magic utterly sucks. Good luck taking out those Girimekhalas. >The atrocious backtracking required several times in the game. >Trowing level 20 enemies (Man Eater) early game, said enemies are inmune to extra skills, making magic (Which sucks) and phys attacks your only means of retaliation.
SMT 2 was probably the least fun i have had in any Megaten. If it wasnt because of the setting and story SMT 2 would be completely worthless.
Matthew Russell
/smtg/ you were the only people I could come to about this
>Worse UI than SMT 1. What? I thought that the UI for smt2 was better and slightly more convenient.
>Worse negotiation than SMT 1. Eh, it was roughly the same in terms of "difficulty", but the smt2 dialogues were generally slightly funnier than the smt1 dialogues.
>Magic utterly sucks. Good luck taking out those Girimekhalas. Git gud and stuff all those magic incences into your partner, by the ~60% mark, my partner was able to take out most swarms using mahama in one go.
>The atrocious backtracking required several times in the game. This I can agree with.
>Trowing level 20 enemies (Man Eater) early game, said enemies are inmune to extra skills, making magic (Which sucks) and phys attacks your only means of retaliation. Agreed with this statement as well.
But honestly, once you get going, smt2 turns out to be more enjoyable than smt1 (but that is a relative statement, playing either one felt like a chore from time to time for me).
Jacob Rogers
Where did you get that picture of me?
Adam Bennett
No, its the other way around. YHWH is like his puppet.

Backtracking aside, SMT 2 is really a more interesting game than 1. You get to see a dystopic, cyberpunk future world, virtual realities, demon cities, and you even go to Hell at one point and get to see how demons live. Helps that the graphics are better, too. I would love to see what all of this stuff looks like in 3D.
Played both at the same time and 1 was far more fun to play. Negotiation is easier because is much less random, so once you spot the demon personality you can easily just remember the order of choices you need to make to get to the trading part. The magic suck complain also comes into bosses you know. Which its also BS because your party doesnt stunlock as oftem as bosses do. The UI was worse. It was slower and a pain to read long winded story segments.
I applaud Kaneko for making what is essentially the only actually interesting depiction of Adam and Eve in media. It's a tragedy they'll be stuck in SMT: NINE hell forever though. Oops, that one isn't Kaneko. Was in my Kaneko folder though, sorry.
>Interesting depiction of Adam and Eve Is pic meant to be related?
Jaxon Miller
You already posted this.
Jackson Morris
Yes, in my opinion. I think it's a great depiction that is both unusual but still retaining meaning. Sorry, I honestly don't remember posting it before.
Does anyone know who the "MEG" signature is of in the corner of this piece? I see it also in and never really noticed it before. I'm wondering if they had an imitator work on P2:EP as it seems to only really be attached to mostly P2 art. As far as I know Kaneko only ever left his signature "KAZ" signature on his art seen in all of his SMTI/II/If... art.
