Power level of items gained is determined by average level of all characters with a limit of course set by type of chest?

If Huntsman Kruber's active was in a good spot, I'd say Kruber. He'd have decent tanking, good horde killing and good special/boss killing power.

ROTBLOOD FORAGING PARTIES

Sienna is a one woman army. If you're good with her you can carry teams all the way up to Champion difficulty. Pyromancer and Unchained are both good for different reasons but Pyro is better for carrying pubbies.

Bardin's Ironbreaker class is also very strong. It's not the best offensively but if you build it right you will never die on any difficulty below Legend, and you can solo almost anything with it if your team mates go down for whatever reason.

Go sword and dagger. The extra damage on charged crit backstab attacks will more than make up for the normal lack of AP.

You are mistaken. Power level of items is an incremental increase as you acquire more items. Open more chests, craft loot, and you'll progress faster. Power limit of chests still apply.

Character level only has a bearing on the chance for higher tier loot (white-orange)

CAPABLE OF SPREADING UNPARALLELLED MADNESS

Two handed axe or hammer depending on preference. Hammer has a wider swing arc on charged attacks but is more for crowd control as it does less damage than axe to multiple targets.

Four dwarfs would be a nice run. I hope they add a viable class to him and male this a 4 dwarf mutator.

You want to use one of the dual weapons for the crit bonus they give. The more crit you have the easier it is for you to insta-kill things. The only basic enemy you can't insta-kill from behind is the full Chaos Warrior.

Is WH Captain even good for anything? I need to level Salty from 15 to 20, but Zeal is annoying to play despite me being into berserker/bruiser types, and BH requires a legendary with infinite ammo trait.

Get the level 15 talent for free blessed shot ammo and equip a repeater pistol/xbow. Only shoot volleys with blessed shots up and save ammo for taking out specials. No need for free ammo traits.

all you need to dunk shit hard is a volley crossbow with crit damage and a decent melee weapon

And which melee to pick? Rapier got nerfed, axe is slow and gets stuck in enemies, falchion is awkward, flail only works good on zeal but feels weaker on release, for some reason.

Yes I have, you snotty little shitbird. And in my experience, while the user you're replying to is wrong, you are also wrong. Character level does have some bearing on gearscore in my experience, with each of the 5 levels up to 30 making the next 10-15 gearscore much faster and easier to achieve.

The good captain falls under the dubious nature of being a generalist. He has a bit of extra survivability from being able to block light attacks for free. He has a bit of team support with his active. he can go on the offense with his insta-kill crit headshots (letting him just keep swinging his rapier while dodging around rather than bother with heavy attacks).

in his defense the beta stats didnt reset
and if what he says is true he could play constantly play on legend/champion which would level him up FAST

but why he decided to level up so quickly is beyond me
there isnt exactly any real reason to since there is no endgame like that

Rapier is still good, charged headshots instakill most nonelite enemies and lmb spam is good vs slave/zombie hordes, the pistol sucks though. Falchion is alright, the others suck.
You should switch to melee to clear get some quick kills to refresh the blessed shots as often as possible, free volleys with guaranteed crit shits on everything.

Play shield/axe. Push into heavy attack; it's a shield bash, it will get the job done and just melee the fuck out of specials because the axe is armor piercing.

I'm just waiting on people making surf maps desu. If you've ever hit a surface at the right angle with slayers jump it feels like it's perfectly within reason that people could do some wacky shit with it.

I prefer rapier for its speed and high damage armor piercing stabs. But falchion is nice for cleaving

also this the megabash does actually do pretty decent damage considering you can just loop it with normal bashes inbetween to completely cuck a horde of just about anything

To be fair, falchion DOES feel awkward as fuck until you stack some hero power. Once that's taken care of, it turns into one of his best weapons. It's all I use now, and I was a sworn rapier user at one point.

It helps to get the "on crit, 20% faster attacks" trait and/or roll attack speed on the weapon as well.

Yesterday an user asked which levels were the fastest, decided to see for myself. Did these runs on Veteran with AI while grinding heros up to level 10, I skipped the boss levels due to having AI, but from experience the quickest is War Camp the worst is that Mage bastard.

Empire in Flames is by far the fastest, revisited with Shade on Recruit and cleared it in 7:55 with the boss at the end.

You might be right there. The falchion felt a bit awkward in the beta but I stuck with it because it was cool and the power attack was solid against norscan marauders. It really started feeling good after I pushed past 250 - 300 heropower.
