In a tank without a stab, if you stop the gun goes into the dirt or declares war on the sun. This means that instead of shooting the enemy you have to sit and wait until your gun to point at the enemy, this might mean that you get blown up by a tank you could easily kill, because your gun wants to shoot down some birds.

for the late war belts in the p47/p51, just run the full API-T tracer belts. it becomes a huge laser buzz saw that cuts through almost anything, and burns everything else. if you're stuck with the mid war belts like on the f6f, just use universal, or if you've very confident in your shots, stealth.

We went over this already, that is not the turret ring. It is the lower mantlet. There's a document about the 140mm CATTB (abrams with bigger gun) that says the turret ring on the hull is 2 inches.
