they're hybrids, or there's another octoling making them. All the octolings you fight in single player are spawned from DJ Octavio's tentacles. That's why they're all the same color he is. It's also why there's blue and green octolings in the new campaign. That's my guess, at least.

Huchen - A big Salmonid that hides in both yours and its own ink, then jumps out for an ambush to flick with its giant roller. Depending on how close the players are it will either horizontal-flick for close combat or vertical-flick if everyone's far away. When it spawns it will usually go for the v-flick to splat you from far away V-flick is -slightly- faster than a Dynamo. After its flick it will start to roll after a single target, meaning that person will have to run while the others shoot the Huchen down. If they don't kill it in time it will go back to hiding in the ink and search for another player. It can also climb up walls, so don't think you're momentarily safe just because you're on a ledge.
You can see where the Huchen is going in the ink by looking at the ink trails it leaves when swimming, like the ones that inklings form when they swim in their ink. You can tell when it's about to jump by lots of waves forming in one spot in the ink, so move away to avoid being splatted when it jumps and flicks.
I'm thinking about having it be a rare encounter on mid tides, but more common on low tides where there's more room to work with.

Is one of these more useful to me in the long run, or does it just not matter?
