She lost her adorableness and became a ponytail cutie. I don't know how to feel about this, but I suppose it's for the best especially if her voice has matured away from her baby talk.
Also that must be a hacked game, sleeping NG hasn't been on the loading screen since April Fools.

Actually I guess that bit could have just been edited into the video.

They are still kind of relevant, there's a reason why TD peaked with Limited Haruka, Limited Takane, and now with this Miki Event. But they are old and busted, and we have more attractive options
If Scamco both gave a shit and knew what they were doing, there could be a revival. Just hope it doesn't take 20+ years like FFVII is taking.

>there could be a revival There really couldn't. The VAs are all old farts.

PS and StS were shit, the only chances they have is in TD, but of course the ML girls are more relevant in that game I think it will be over

VA age is probably the biggest concern with that. Honestly now that the fanbase has been conditioned enough to get new characters over existing ones the best we could hope for is a new idol raising/dating sim but given the overwhelming success of gacha for a fraction of the development cost I wouldn't count on it.

The AS girls had a "revival" like every 2 years since the fucking arcade machines user.
Seeing the latest revival didn't do so well, Maybe it really is time to retire them for the time being. They had a good run. Then maybe a decade from now, they can have another revival but this time for a new generation.
Chase Howard
The ML girls are not more relevant in that game, and they weren't in the old game as well. The issue at this point is if they'll be in future events with new album series, since they haven't been in one since LTD.
Landon Brooks
That doesn't have to be done in-game, you could just do multiple recordings with different idols and splice them together as needed.
I don't see why they wouldn't considering OGs are still getting new songs right now. I think Scamco is just trying to find an avenue for them, and will have to think even longer and harder after the recent console games. The games weren't horrible per se, but they definitely suffered from Scamco being Scamco. I think if TD becomes the avenue of the OGs, which is what I personally hope for, I think we'll see the best possible outcome for both ML and OG. It is a mutually beneficial relationship (keeping OGs alive and giving the MLs exposure) and I think Scamco should push towards this outcome if they wanted a brighter future for both respective branches. The OGs and mainline needs a successor branch and ML is the best candidate considering how that branch sets itself up story wise.
I'm just sad they don't have as much interplay between idols outside of units as greemas did due to how the content updates.

I think the alternative is honestly worse. TD and StS suffered massively because Scamco decided to do too much at once. Think about how much potential money was lost for choosing to launch StS AND TD in the same year. StS didn't sell amazingly in the end and TD had a rough, rushed launch that could've been much better. Imagine if Scamco had dedicated all those resources to including more OG and ML content in TD from the start (instead of how godawfully barebones it was), and marketed the game as a new vision for OG/ML? Because it's not like they were targeting hardcore im@s console fans with the newest games given the mechanics, and that's exactly why PS and StS sit in the awkward place they do.
>it's not like they were targeting hardcore im@s console fans with the newest games given the mechanic Different user here, but I still don't know who the fuck PS and StS were supposed to target. It sure as hell wasn't me, considering I bought PS at launch and hated it.
Jeremiah Brooks
I think it's probably a bunch of factors that played into it. There's definitely still a sizeable AS fanbase, but it seemed to have migrated into either one of the subbranches and doesn't really stand on its own anymore, that coupled with how bad PS was, seemed to have caused the poor sales of StS considering it's still mostly PS's staff. I dunno how Scamco can regain the trust of that base anymore after fucking up so many times over the years, and refusing to make enough changes to satisfy that base, and it doesn't help that the seiyuu are aging as well. I do like how AS have been using ML to keep trucking on, so that's a pretty nice aspect, but I'm hoping they'll somehow regain the trust in the main brand since it seems pretty sad to see it slowly die off due to mistakes.

I feel like it wasn't until TD that Scamco finally decided what direction they wanted ML to go in. Remember that up until TD we had two separate directions for ML that were completely incompatible with one another: the "total continuity reset" approach where 50 idols join 765 at the same time, and the "sequel" approach where 13 idols join 765, become top idols, and then 765 expands to recruit another 37 (well, now another 39).
>and marketed the game as a new vision for OG/ML They could still do that marketing with a hypothetical anime adaptation, but that's assuming that ML gets an anime. Though I would be genuinely shocked if they didn't announce an ML anime at SSA.
