You literally play songs to march down the road. Reach the end of it and clear the trainer mission to move on to the next one.
There are two routes. You can switch to the other one once your clear Miyako's 1st route. Switching does not reset the steps or anything, so feel free to switch around.
Now, there are bonuses that let you increase the number of steps you take: >having the character featured for that route in your team >the song type (which is influenced by the tile you are standing on) >certain appeals (e.g. a dance-focused team, a team with high star-ranks, etc.) You can check it on the event page.
You can also get marching tickets in Live Parties and on one of the event missions. These can be used to advance just the same, but you need to play a regular live to clear the trainer mission.
On the rail map, every block colored block you land on corresponds to the specific type song you must play (pink for cute, etc). While playing individual songs you may get tickets (3x or 5x) which you may use to advance along the map without having to play each song. Once you go past a certain number of colored blocks, you'll make your way to Rookie/Master trainer where you must play a song that meets a requirement. Upon completing that, you unlock a commu and go to the next part of the stage. It's pretty simple and easy to get a 15* if you hoard enough tickets.
I'm not really one for Tomoe but since I saw the composer name, I've been looking forward to her song. They should just preview the two remaining songs in one go next Friday.
