Alright lads, I know this is an unusual statement here, but I want to have some fun in gwent. I've always wanted to play Cursed NR, but I hadn't the cards up until now. I want to maximize the delet ability of the deck so that my win con is the baron and henselt>kaedweni knight
You're retarded, risking to lose your CA when you're not even running Shupe is stupid
I drypass when my deck allows it
Easton Russell
you are the retarded one, you clearly implied that always drypassing back is correct and that's the sign of a brainlet that blindly follows what swim says.
Cooper Phillips
>risking to lose your CA when you're not even running Shupe is stupid
Playing a marathon round three when you have no weather clears and very little removal is even more stupid. If your deck isn't strong enough to get your card back in round 2, then it isn't strong enough to win the game anyway. May as well dump some of your bad cards, make a tempo surge and hope to go into round three with a strong hand and last say.
tl;dr git gud
Josiah Ramirez
Is Reveal a good archetype? What are the best cards for it?
Oliver Morris
Actually if you won r1 when oponent drypasses as long as he doesnt have wardancer its 99% correct to not play the round.
Camden Miller
Not really. It's probably stronger now than it ever has been, though. The bronze core consists of Alchemists, Daerlan Footsoldiers, and Fire Scorpions. Many Reveal decks run a control package with Scorch, Yennefer Enchantress, and Villentretenmerth.
Owen Hernandez
Thanks lad, I'll try it out. I'm looking not to really use Adda though. She seems kind of shit.
I want to use Baron, Vandergrift, and Seltkirk for my main 3 golds, but I don't know what my 3rd should be. RNR/Keira/DJ seem like good options
In terms of silvers, I know I need Thaler/Olgierd/Dethmold but I can also see Margarita, Sabby G, Sabby G's Spectre, Vaeder, and a few of the spells being useful.
Lastly, in terms of bronzes, I can only see it working if I go over 15. I need a few Kaedweni revenants, tormented mages, kaedweni knights, etc... I don't know what the composition should be thought
I know this deck isnt viable but dont care
Owen Scott
You're just plain wrong about this. Gwent is all about using the first two rounds to set yourself up for a strong round three. That's still true in Arena even if you don't have as much synergy in your deck. If you just play a one-round game, you're just gambling that your deck is stronger than your opponent's, and that's essentially a coinflip.
Colton Baker
The only time it's not justified to drypass is if you're running cards such as blue meme or cahir or ressurects in which case you should ask yourself why are you running those cards that force you to play out r1 or lose CA in r2
That's justifiable but the dude had enough silver mages to use for removal. I find it stupid they'd be throwing their card away like that while they don't expect I have some sort of a finisher of my own especially at 7 or above wins
Grayson James
Well exactly, I and i assume everyone else builds their arena deck to play into 1 long round. You playing out round 2 to "bleed your oponent might cost you to lose CA.
My lastgame for example he drypassed r1 and used wardancer r2 so i was forced to play. He cleared 2 of my weathers and just sat in the 3 one for half the game.before searching for a clear with his shupe, he also saved his last 2 cards Brigade and Ghoul. He was greedy enough to save his Vrihed brigade the whole round hoping i will give him free CA, which ultimately cost him the game in round 3 since we went in on even cards(only 2) with him going first. Considering he never wante to play his ghoul and brigade he was better of not muliganing his wardancer since shupe was 100% more likely to get him better value next round. So he ended up going first into round 3 with a ghoul and a topdeck against my seltkirk and a topdeck and he lost. This was @ 9 wins
Tyler Baker
Swim says always pass and he has a girlfriend so I'm pretty sure he knows more about Gwent than you!
Nathan Harris
How exactly was this meandering anecdote meant to counter what my point?
He never should have forced me to play round 2 knowing he doesnt want to play 2 of his cards there.Meaning he should have held onto his wardencer and go directly into round 3 which is correct 99% of the time.
Ryan Perry
What? If he has a Ghoul in hand, he needs there to be a round 2 so that his graveyard has a good target for it. Also, how is it better to play a long round 3 on even cards than play a long round 2 with card advantage?
Evan Gutierrez
Because the dude that drypasses r1 doesn't choose the length of r2?
Ryder Campbell
But you said yourself that the Wardancer essentially guarantees that round two will be played out. I feel like we are having different conversations.
>connection lost as I'm placing a card >comes back and the card is stuck halfway through being put down >game doesn't let me do anything until my timer runs out >throws away my card advantage >lose by 2 points >lose my last arena game haha gwent is fun
>Playing draft, Opponent gets red coin >Fast forward, playing Emhyr as fast as possible into Dandy into Sile into a spell to mind fuck his ass >His Morren flips over and pings my fucking Emhyr right after i played Dandy and cancels his abillity >"What?" png Lost the entire game after playing for less than just a minute
>Playing Emhyr normally >Being retarded my fucking sides Emhyr lets you play a card and pick up a card. Not returning anything to your deck. If you play a card that makes you play another card from your hand, you then go down -1 card if his ability is cancelled, which is basically game losing. Morenn didnt use to proc leaders. If that was the case this would render Emhyr useless, you do know this right?
>Playing Emhyr normally >Playing a 7 strength unit into a fresh ambush >Still tries to argue that he's not retarded But you are my friend. You're absolutely fucking retarded.
James Adams
The midwinter patch has been around for quite some time now.
>This fucking guy Did you even read my post? If i play Sile Morren would ping sile you moron, i wanted to pick her up to play her again, not letting her die. Jesus Christ this must be bait.
>winning 99 percent of games in casual as cursed nr >too scared to take this deck into 3800
wat do
Dominic Robinson
PFI is the division Jarre ends up in in Lady of the Lake, so good for them to use that name.
Asher Moore
Thats what i was trying to say return to your hand. Thats how it always worked senpai sorry to say, its not a bug. You play him and a card from your hand, then the effects can take place and you can return a card AFTER. If he dies to Moren or if you consume him you dont get to return a card. Guess you learned that yhe hard way.
Jaxon Peterson
Imagine being dumb enough that you have to talk nu-Gwent strategy.
But thats the thing. Morenn is not suppose to proc when leaders are being played. That would make her the most op card in the game since no leader is above 8 point body, so why does she proc on emhyr? I get you argument that if emhyr dies then his ability cancels, but that is not suppose to happen. same reason they changed Dijkstra. at least old Dijkstra didn't let you go down -1 card when you kill him during his ability.
Gavin Phillips
>durr you must read trash tier books to play dumb video game
Nathaniel Hill
Delete your post and make a PG-13 one please. Think of who might be reading.
Benjamin Edwards
Midwinter's been around for more than 3 months, don't get how you didn't get to look through all the card changes during that time. And if your opponent opened up with an ambush and you didn't immediately pass, you deserve to go -1 CA.
Adrian Robinson
and just like that this thread got a whole lotta cuter
I wonder how CDPR feels about Lifecoach playing literal trash instead of their shit game
Gabriel Brown
Hes just butthurt he got btfo easily last tourney. Probably expected to play against people who have 3 hours of practice or casuals who attend their first LAN forever like he did at the open beta tourney.
Tyler Peterson
>Trying to dissmiss his argument and not even defending what he said after he realised he is the retard here You can stop trolling now user. >Midwinter's been around for more than 3 months, don't get how you didn't get to look through all the card changes during that time. I doubt its written down anywhere that morenn is supose to do this. especially since this is not suppose to happen, so yeah thats that >And if your opponent opened up with an ambush and you didn't immediately pass, you deserve to go -1 CA. Lmao nice tactic you got going for yourself there pal. No wonder ppl complains about losing to st if every retard plays like this.
Do you honestly think Superjj is any better than Lifecoach was? If anything it would be easier for those 3 hours of practice casuals to win these days, the only hindrance is that CDPR forces people to grind endlessly in order to be chosen for these tournaments.
