Man EB 2 is retarded The info screens are too big, units look extremely confusing with the way they dress and are armed. You barely can tell if your unit is a skirmisher or a light archer >want to build builder >increase of population growth 1%, happiness 10 % income -/+ 200...???
Threadly reminder that everyone here is a redditor and reporting that you don't agree with is childish and sad.
Henry Bailey
The foul scent of vermin permeates this place, my lord. Do not risk the undermining of your rule by the Skaven - take steps to reduce their chittered lies spreading among your followers.
Heavy cavalry is dedicated fightan horsemen, which can be either shock cavalry meant for charging for effect or melee cavalry dedicated to fighting other cavalry and maintaining a more sustained fight after charging
Light cavalry is typically just scouts and troops to run down routing troops
Medium cavalry is mounted infantry, using bows, and then later on guns and using the horses as a means of rapid transportation as time went on
So medium cavalry is real, and is the reason why spears are better than swords, and underhand is better than overhand
>units look extremely confusing with the way they dress and are armed. You barely can tell if your unit is a skirmisher or a light archer oh look its the stoplight autist from three days ago Fuck off already and just wait for Thrones so you can use your color-coded cards to play rock-paper-scissors with the AI
I reay like 2v2'ing with a friend against randoms. If it wasn't for that I'd probably play less.
Christian Hernandez
I do now and then, good fun! Especially slamming shitters with your meme armies against their dumb ones.

What's a meme army?

>play skaven >have warlord sit and raid own land >kill off rebel stacks for food >loyalty plummets despite tooltip saying winning battles increases loyalty >betrays me Well it is pretty skaven-like, but mechanic-wise I don't fucking get it.
Probably something dumb like tons of peasants and catapult spam.

The only thing Boudicca did was get raped.

kk I have seen posters telling overly long battle/campaignposters to fuck off.
1564 da age of da cuntry at war Taking advantage of the Oda clan being distracted by conflicts in the Kansai region, Takeda Shingen has led an invasion of the Odas eastern provinces. In a little over a year all Oda provinces east of the Kiso river, including Owari itself, have fallen into Takeda hands.
Hastily settling his affairs in Kansai, daimyo Oda Nobuyki leads his army back to Owari, determined to reclaim his possessions. Unlike other Oda daimyos of the past, Nobuyki has chosen to have his army comprised mostly of samurai. Even so, he has managed to gather 24 000* men.
*2400, but, you know, trying to be realistic and shit.
Chaos got wiped out before I even saw tham in Mortal Empires. Do they only invade the one time? Seemed fairly impotent.
Levi Thomas
Waiting on the other side of the Kiso river, ready to block Nobuykis path, is Shingen himself, with 32 000 men, including several thousand of the feared Takeda cavalry, and ashigaru armed with imported with matchlocks. Shingen has taken a strong defensive position, with his gunners dug in behind barricades and guarded by ashigaru and samurai infantry. Shingen gives a few encouraging words to his men while the Oda cross the river.
As soon as the Oda cavalry are a suitable distance from the main Oda force, the Takeda cavalry charges and engages. The result is a largely onesided slaughter.
I love it when my AI enemies bring lighter cavalry than mine. They never act like it and try to run me around, they just try to engage like they're on equal grounds with my cavalry and get shredded.
Tyler Roberts
Even better when it sends its generals straight into the slaughter.
>always want to try to use cav as takeda >s2 cav is basically fucking useless due to how quick combat is >fire cav don't even have very good stats and still take 2 turns to recruit w/ high tier cav dojos a shame tbqhwy
Brayden Reed
Meanwhile, undaunted or unaware of the slaughter of his cavalry, Nobuyki orders his infantry to advance. Eh I dunno, I found they could do good work when flanking and as general/archer killers. They sometimes even did okay against in frontal attacks, altough losses were admittedly like 50%+.
how do you position your walls to get good shots + how do you avoid them getting raped by archers?
Brandon Nguyen
Meanwhile, a force of samurai on the Oda left attempt to flank the Takeda. But Shingen has several units that are not engaged at the barricades, and the flanking force is intercepted by Takeda foot samurai.
Seeing that his flanking force is faltering, Nobuyki himself enters the fray on the Takeda right flank. Put barricades in center, guard gaps with infantry (preferably they should be stretched "over" the walls just a little, to prevent the enemy from squeezing between the walls and the guard unit. If you have the numbers put extra guard units behind the first ones) As for archers, they usually just target the first unit they get into their range, which will usually be the guard units.
