Wait, I think I got it. I think I finally understand how Innocent Monster works on Elizabeth and Carmilla not having it. Sad Vlad is what happens summoning Vlad outside Romania, views modifying him and bullshit for deeds he didn't commit. It was really werid because it IS pointed out Liz receives this for deeds she DID commit. But here is the thing: Elizabeth Bathory did commit those crimes during her life, but Liz didn't yet. So she gains Innocent Monster due to that; her actions cause those views upon her, but that specific aspect in that point in life didn't do that shit yet. Meanwhile, Carmilla is explicitly Elizabeth Bathory older, after doing all those murders. She doesn't gain Innocent Monster because that aspect of her really DID commit those things. However, she is the base for Vampire Carmilla, and unlike Liz, it IS that specific aspect of her that originated the vampire. So the legend being distorted give her vampire powers, kind of how Rad Vlad gets Legend of Dracula
