it's almost like when you release an operator without any viable counterplay and a powerful gadget he/she is broken as shit like pre-nerf hibana. They had the PERFECT opportunity to make vigil the best goddamn counter to him but they threw it away for some dumb fucking reason. Finka? Yeah you've got echo, smoke, pulse, and lesion all as strong counters but Lion? You uh. You got mute for whatever it's worth, but he only counters him while you're standing in a mute jammer, the moment you step out you're tagged.
John Lewis
not to mention the jammers range is negligible
Kayden Harris
This You get a whole 5 feet to move around in, if the jammer isn't against a wall making it like a 3 foot half circle.
>They had the PERFECT opportunity to make vigil the best goddamn counter to him but they threw it away for some dumb fucking reason. It still baffles me that Vigil is "worthless" in the eyes of most players, never picked in the pro league and ignored in most games but instead of making him counter the hottest newest operator that you can assume will be on every team for the next 4-5 weeks they just left him as is.
Justin Morales
>every time we have an operator pitch, we specifically have a counterplay section >that is, who counters this operator >and for example, lion is countered by mute LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I can't believe they actually nerfed him in the outbreak patch. I mean the dude saw no play and you still felt the need to break the ONE gimmick he could do? Dumb as fuck.

I like how Ubisoft offered a character that makes you stand still is effectively countered by a gadget that allows you to move around in a 3 foot circle
>finished placements into gold III >first game after is a 5stack with mostly inexperienced friends >0 - 4, entirely bodied, die at the beginning of every round
>about to flank enemy team when marked by jackal >lion drone >hear blitz sprinting Roll back the season already holy fuck

The only good maps are Border (Armory only) , Coastline (Bedroom only) , Consulate (Garage only) , Bank (Also garage only) and Chalet (Garage only). Kafe, Skyscraper and Oregon are ok. Clubhouse and Oregon are shit
Bank vault, 'ford basement, oregon basement, pretty much any basement obj. Also any objective on plane due to no external direct entry breach points except for the cargo hold objective.
Justin Myers
>heartbreaking defeat >report enemy team for toxicity
>jump out on to the balcony on consulate and kill the enemy Lion >he calls me a nig >tell him hes reported for toxic behaviour >"i-i m-meant the NIGht before christmas..!"
How do you even find it fun to defend ? > external door and rush plant > that door also fuck with jammers and bandit tricking >the right side is entirely vulnerable to hard-breachers > smart team will leave a guy near tower to fuck with anyone peeking > Shieldshitters can rush and take bathroom easily The enemies have to be dumb niggers to go through meeting hall to the actual kitchen
Kitchen would be a nice OBJ if they locked down some of the windows upstairs or removed the external direct entry from the adjacent room. It's like trying to hold billiards in house, you can't hold up in the room or in anything adjacent to it because every single spot has a fucking window or external door.
>take vigil/lesion/kapkan >if you take vigil, blow the connector between tower and dorms for rotations and snipe people from the tower >jump out if needed >if you play lesion, camp bathroom and throw needles into the office, 1 or 2 at the doors if needed >if kapkan, take saiga, camp behind the desk and wait for plant, plant traps in office and the main door Easy
Jose Russell
> locked down some windows upstairs Wait what ? Why upstairs ? > Remove the external entry from the adjacent room Yeah that'd be nice. If they do then the attackers may actually need to put efforts into taking that room. As it is right now it's too easy to waltz in and rush plant, or Thermite the wall to the left and just plant behind sofa. > Billards in house Lmao aren't there like 4-5 fucking windows in that room alone ? Fuck that map
the ceiling of kitchen is destructible, so by cutting down on the number of windows upstairs it becomes more feasible to hold up there instead of downstairs. Combined with echo or valk (or even a good lesion) you can floor bang anyone that steps into kitchen. This gives defenders a lot more flexibility on what downstairs rooms they want to secure for easy access into the OBJ and will make it much harder for attackers to push defenders out of that side of the second floor.
Billiards has 3 windows, two side-by-side on one side and a double-wide window on another side. It also has a floor hatch that goes downstairs and 2 doors, both of which can be seen through from outside the house which prevents players from rotating into or out of the objective since the wall by the stairs is only partially destructible and can't be used to get between the OBJ and stairs without going through the door which has an external door right across from it and the front door of House allows an angle over the floor hatch and rotations into the other half of the room. It's waaaay worse than kids since you can at least open kids up to the rest of the second floor, can't do that with billiards since there's only 1 partially soft wall. (the wall by the stairs with metal rods instead of wooden ones)

Do you mean bank? Because upstairs on consulate is the easiest sites to defend.

Glaz is great in outbreak, you just need to realize you will only be touching normal infected during downtime. the main point of glaz is to nuke the shit out of the special infected.
Jonathan Morales
The one apex we had went down really, really quick. There was that. I got lucky with the Doc and Smoke who were picked though -- they pretty much nuked everything else and carried me
Luke Gomez
>full blown Blur cut scenes for the outbreak missions that are only here for 3 more weeks and only worth playing a few times at most >DLC ops still don't get any fancy videos after unlocking them
you've got two smokes grenades to bail someone or something out of trouble and you basically delete rooters and smashers. Apex can give you a problem if they're not aggro'd onto someone else due to their projectiles but if you land your shots they'll drop real quick. Our group runs a Glaz, Ying, and Doc comp. Ying is just broken-tier, doc having ranged revives and self-revives is a no brainer, and Glaz destroys special infected which are the only issues ying/doc have due to their low damage high capacity weapons. We've done everything on pandemic and had no issues.
Christopher Williams
Is Smoke still the best defender?
Are there situations where he isn't a great pick
Owen Roberts
new meta is acog/3 speeds running out for spawn peeks hoping to kill their lion

>Bank >Team picks CEO office > Castle blocked the OBJ and the door facing lobby instead of the door near elevator > Castle not blocking the two windows in OBJ > Caveira not reinforcing and just ran straight to tunnel to get a cheeky kill > Bandit going out to reinforce fucking hatches > At least he still has the decency to bandit the walls facing skylight > Valk tries to do some cheeky spawnpeeks > Valk dies and Cav pings on all of the cams > Gets all the cams destroyed > Bandit roaming main lobby and gets gunned down by a firing squad just fucking watching from bazillion angles from outside > Rook proned under the desk near the double windows near balcony and got droned out > Runs his fat ass away and got sniped from the small skylight near elevator before making it back to the OBJ > Cav got her brain blown out running in the skylight near archive > Castle barricaded himself in the room right infront of the OBJ > Gets fuzed Cursed OBJ
Aaron Phillips
smoke will always be a great defender but Ela overshadowed him until she got her kneecaps broken last week after 6 months of being broken as fuck. Arguably the new best defender is Lesion simply because he can do everything without any major downsides and counters pretty much every meta pick, though this is debatable since smoke is still really fucking good.
> Ying has a 81 rounds LMG with a really fast reload and can 3 shots grunts and breachers easily > Ying's gadget can and will stun normal enemies and is super useful defendng OBJ
not for at least 6 months. Honestly he'd be fine if he had some fucking counters, but for some reason ubisoft REALLY hates vigil and absolutely insists on making him garbage even though he's literally the perfect character to counter him. Hell even just making it so that if you're standing in a mute jammer when his ability triggers you're permanently immune to it would be something.
