hey guys! I recently started playing the game after years and years of wow. it's a beautiful game and I'm enjoying playing without the minimap (forces me to take in my surroundings and read npc dialogue instead of just glancing at it every 15 seconds), but combat it slow. does it get more complicated as I go along? does it get faster? I'm playing an archer right now.

I've put in more hours into KF2, payday 2, and vermintide 2 in the last week than I have in ff in over a month. Eureka is honestly the biggest lie I think I've ever been sold in this game. ff12 and 15 got pc ports if you're into good time sinks. Persona 5 also apparently works on a ps3 emulator as well if you're into that.

A lot changed. It follows the zodiac job system where you pick 2 jobs for each character, and assigning espers gives bonuses to that character depending on their classes chosen (I would look beforehand as I fucked up who I assigned mateus to.)
The combat feels a little better and there's no big gay zodiac spear jewery from opening chests and fucking yourself out of it. Honestly a lot of things improved and I would highly recommend it if you enjoyed it the first time around.
