More like lack of creativity in naming tradition

Don't name people after the founder of your country.
>don't really care for mecha anime
>still haven't watched NGE despite it being hailed as the second coming of christ on here
Is it depressing? I always gain the impression that's it's depressing when people talk about it.
I don't like depressing things.
It starts off, somewhat regularly, it then gets cheery, and then it tears apart everything cheery about it, only to have a magnificent existential if somewhat confusing ending (which is why you should watch the movie before the last 2 episodes).
It's about depression so yeah, it is. also heads up if you do start it. The start is slow and it seems really weirdly paced for a while, but it's that way for a reason. Also it's really necessary to think about why the characters act the way they do to enjoy NGE. It doesn't spell things out and a lot of things will just go completely over your head (pic related) even if you are paying attention.
I don't know, I think watching the whole show then watching EOE is pretty ideal. preferably with some time in between to digest what just happened.

Dude. Fuck. I'm crying rn. Fucking Turks.
Before I re as through this, does it contain spoilers or is it just helpful info?
Lots of spoilers
Get rekt white boi
Sent this pic to my Greek boyfriend and he got next-level triggered.
The info is helpful, but i'd say it's only a useful read after you watched the series.
The very first line is about extended info from the video game.
It's not really useful for understanding the meaning of the show until you get to the paragraph under the Adam pics, those two are full of spoilers.
Do not forget the evil deeds of the t*rkroach.
>Not watching things in release order
Aaaand now I have to rewatch EoE
Fuck you OP
There are spoilers but they won't make any sense unless you've seen the show and even then it's still unnecessarily confusing and doesn't really impact how the ending will hit you on an emotional level or what they mean for the characters in the show.
is this a jojo reference
Reported
atleast the ERE got a more fitting ending than the WRE what with the emperor dying with his troops in a last stand
much better than Odoacer showing up and telling some kid that Rome has fallen
all empires fall, that is a constant of history
>Cannon fire
>Destruction and mayhem
>desperate population of Constantinople seek refuge in the Hagia Sophia
>the christian defenders lay dead or dying on the walls and in the streets
>Suddenly Constantine ascends to godhood
>A blue haired spectral theodora appears to everyone, sent by Justinian
>Everyone in the Hagia Sophia bursts into LCL
>"as long as the Sun, the Moon and earth are there, it's going to be alright."
Does Constantine scream at the top of his lungs?

Yes. Little known fact, Giovanni Giustiniani died in his BYZ Unit 02 fighting the ottoman mass produced mechs outside the walls.
