I hope that somehow, despite what all odds and logic should dictate, Halo 6 is a great game and brings 343 a lot of success. Not because I have any investment in the plotline they've created. No, in fact I'd say I can't be any more uninvested than I already am. I want them to succeed because if they fail then Halo is done.
What I want, is for them to succeed and finally conclude the mess of a story they've tried to make, so that they can move on and give it another go with something else that maybe could end up being interesting again. WITHOUT CHIEF, they've ruined him enough already.
If they made a FPS Halo game where you fight the banished and flood, maybe as Jerome, that would be great and I think could really bring the game back to how it used to feel, while still giving it a big enough difference from Bungie's Halos to have 343's own flavor. I think the banished have a lot of potential, unlike the unfun prometheans.

It will fail when there is no dinos, sprint still there, has IAP MTX, and AIs still dumb as a bag of hammers.
The first one was first and has a more detailed OP but since it seems to have been a mistake and this one picked up traction, I'm gonna say just stay here. We can make the next thread Back to the Future edition to compromise.
>the bulk of its efforts is now on the show and not on the floor Best case scenario is that you''re getting Cirque du Soleil again instead of games.
Gavin Edwards
I don't see what happens on the floor so I couldn't care less. Nobody really does outside of the gaming """press""" If thwyre really smart they'll have demos available for the public after the show.
Mason Evans
This. The E3 show floor is a complete joke. Long lines to play super scripted set pieces running on PCs for very short durations of time. It's like a bad theme park. They should invest their effort in the actual show.

>If thwyre really smart they'll have demos available for the public after the show. You do that on the floor, stupid. Unless they pack up all the nailed-down seats after the show in the microsoft theater, then they have almost no games to play. All they have is that tiny spot in the main hall.
Henry Gray
>Floor space for what purpose? Sea of thieves & State of decay will be release before the E3. That left only Crackdown 3 & maybe Forza Horizon 4 & Halo 6 if they have demo for it. I think they makes more announcements rather having demo to play at the e3.

>go to e3 >don't bring games

>you do that on the floor stupid stupid indeed. The smart thing to do would be to have public demos go live right after the show. The floor is a dated concept from the pre-XBL days.
What sounds better? Showcasing a new game and saying "and you can try it out right after the show here on the floor," or "and you can download the beta/demo right after the show?" Anyone that says the former is seriously out of touch.

That guy will still respond to you because hurrr gotta get muh last word in and win ebin argument but you're spot on regardless. Fuck the show floor. Next to nobody cares. Sell us your console/games in the presentation and have the trials ready to go for the public.
I enjoy the brainwashing process where the person is trying to fight back but is losing. But the end part of the fetish where they're just a mindless drone doesn't do much for me.
