who made that argument for CU? Better what? Cards? How this is in any way shape or form similar to CU you're gonna have to elaborate. Cause it looks like to me it won't have any impact on the gameplay which was what made CU bad. If the games only redeeming quality for you was that you can put 2 different cosmetics together then I guess it's time for you to go.

Do you actually believe this? People definitely could leave the game over it. I'm not sure what the actual gain is here except skin concepts and the vague promise of "better" skins. Their reasons for removing the customization system (optimization and user-friendliness of the UI) are laughable at best and completely stupid at worst because neither of these has ever been an issue where the game runs on third-world toasters from 2006.
The customization is a major part of the game's charm, and they know this. Not sure how you could be so clueless. Even when Unbound was revealed, people making videos opposing it were talking about how builds and custom decks would be gimped by them locking every card to level 4. And then the main line Hi-Rez were spouting to sell Cards Unbound was that players wanted more of a "sense of progression" that unbound would provide. It was just a shitty endless grind for whales to blow their money on. Ultimately a waste of time and resources.
Now they're shilling another revamp in a similar fashion. IF the community opposes it, they'll just do the same thing and you'll see the same pattern. Ironically, they'll probably make LESS money too because people will be pissed about their customization being fucked and will be bitter over it, and then more people will just end up content with only one item set instead of wanting multiples to mix and match. It's a double-edged sword for them. And all for the sake of "optimization" when the game's already able to run on potatoes.
