lance gets power guard after a successful counter. this will let you counter attacks that have multiple hits to them, like black diablos head ground slam that has the two hits in quick succession, nergs head slam, jyuras body slam, etc. its going to take some getting used to to to see how long the power guard window is, probably not long enough to block attacks in quick succession like odo does, but still better than countering and getting hit by the follow up hit on the same move.
