I liked everything about Root Letter except for the core story itself which is kind of important. It seems like it was made by a guy who had a ton of passion, genuinely wanted to make a great product, and intimately understood a lot of the little things that make a VN great, but just couldn't write an engaging story to wrap it all around.
>Any good? Does it offer choices and multiple endings/routes? Or is it one of those yucky VNs that never offers choices and only has one ending? It's a fun ride, but it's not without its faults. There's some pacing issues, mostly in the B route but also crops up a bit later too. There are multiple endings and choices do matter, but they're not set up as conventional choices like most VNs. Instead of getting two choices like "try to save the girl in the room" or "it's too dangerous, listen to Kazami". Instead a "choice" pops up and you have to select how much you trust Kazami vs how much you trust your own gut. If you trust yourself more than Kazami then you go and save her, if you trust Kazami more then yourself then you pull back. It gets more complicated than that later as you come across more people. You might get stuck at a couple points and in that case look up a spoiler free guide. Think the one I used was on Gamefaqs but there's probably one on the Steam community page too. I don't want to say any more about it since the less you know the better. If you're at all interested then pick it up now. If the price is a bit too much for you then it's been featured in 2 humble bundles already so you can probably find a cheap Steam code without much trouble.
He meant Root letter. The one that Sekai project just released is called Root Double.
Gamestop still has codes for Atelier Totori Plus with Bonus. Even if you bought it on PSN already the code can be redeemed for the bikini outfit. The description on the DLC even says it was a limited offer expiring in 2013.

>Not Vita >One of them literally confirmed to be a vita title
Yup. I didn't like the minigame at all though, I felt that it was pretty pointless. Would have been more exciting to have the MC pin the character down by themself than break it into a minigame that doesn't really have any consequenses even.
Joshua Cooper
Just because the game is a Vita title doesn't necessarily mean we're getting a Vita version here.
>mfw I haven't played Celceta despite it being my first Vita purchase along with Tales of Hearts R >Just spent $100 on Vita games on the PSN two days ago >Still haven't done anything but play UNIST since its release >Will probably spend another $100 before the month ends if things pan out with CSH
>Just spent $100 on Vita games on the PSN two days ago Was that during the spend $100, get $15 credit thing or was that a couple weeks ago and you missed it?
I haven't played hearts r or Celceta even though those were some of my first purchases too Played Ys 8 though it was it great
Evan Morales
>Played Ys 8 though it was it great Best Ys game hands down. Also, loved Yuki Kaji as Adol.

user from last thread. I got both Utawarerumono games for about 40 bucks. Went to the wrong store first, so I had to make two trips(first store still had Deception, though). Saw a good buddy of mine at the first store, so it wasn't a waste. Deception was sealed, but Truth was opened, since they had to use the game case for display. FUCKING GAMESTOP. Still came complete, though.
I downloaded the anime, but it's 26 goddamn episodes. I'm wondering if playing the first game might actually take less time. Anybody able to give me an estimate?

US always wins baby
Robert Nguyen
The game is like 8-10 hours long depending on your reading speed.
Joshua Ward
Just watch the damn anime. Also, remember to have fun while you watch it.
Eli Miller
I really like how US won Criminal Girls.
Dylan Campbell
This is literally the worst advice in the thread so far. I hope you lose your flatness you pig. He should play the game as the anime doesn't even cover most of what is referenced in 2 and 3.
Colton Wilson
>Best Ys game hands down Dawn of Ys, m8. It's not even good, though. Why beg for it? Neat, might finish that in a week or so.
Kevin Wood
Mask of Deception will spoil Utawarerumono main plot points, which I guess it isn't that bad if you don't have any interest on the first game.
Austin Roberts
>Why beg for it? That's what they do
Nathaniel Myers
Is tears to tiaras related to the uta games at all or any other aquaplus series?
Noah Reyes
I had to double take because I thought you were talking about Uta 2 at first.
Parker Gomez
No relation at all

Play Hearts R guys
Nicholas Turner
They don't have Vitas and want to play it. Plus Ys VIII still isn't on PC yet.
