Everyone talking about P5's story right now seems to have forgotten pretty basic shit about it so allow me to explain SIU Director had a Shadow because Goro interrogated him for information. It is not established if he had a palace or not.

I can't wait for Persona 5 Akechi Goro of the Resurrection!
Something about that face does not work with Sae's hair very well.
Carson Ortiz
I can't wait for her PV.
No seriously, her dancing style is going to be 100% unadulterated autism and I'm going to love every fucking second of it. I genuinely can't wait to see it. She's literally walking the fucking Egyptian on the website.
>That's what I'm complaining about, you dingus. They didn't think shit through. They don't even acknowledge the risk. Because it wasn't fucking something they considered. They literally acknowledge the fact they fucked up by overlooking it and were lucky Joker managed to make it work. That's literally the fucking point. >...what does that have to do with what I stated? What, were you trying to argue that they had no way of knowing Sae was going to be there despite them literally stating they knew this? >Mate, the metaverse is not only flashing transitions. There is shit in it, and it behaves differently. Almost the same, but differently. The "metaverse" is just a shitty localized term, it's literally the world the way that the palace owner perceives it. Sae's "world," looks identical down in the interrogation room, since it's outside the perimeters of the casino by a fair distance. Nobody could tell the difference. >A notable exception: cognitive beings turning to black smoke when killed. Do they disappear only when the plot asks for it? They disappear when the belief that forms them does, not "when they die" - there is literally no reason they should disappear upon death, since they're just cognitive props, and should function as props until the belief behind them stops, hence why Joker and the cop exist as corpses until Sae stops believing they should be. The reason the cop turns to smoke is because Sae no longer perceives said cop as being in the interrogation room because per Futaba's instructions she made him get the hell out of there. >Also, the Akechi knows things about the MV that the PT don't. And the PT know that Akechi has been in the MV for far longer than they did. 0, and I mean 0 times do they bring this obvious problem up. Nice speculation.
>Because it wasn't fucking something they considered. They literally acknowledge the fact they fucked up by overlooking it and were lucky Joker managed to make it work. That's literally the fucking point. I honestly don't remember them being like "oh fuck they had drugs oops we didn't even think about that". The only thing they were really, really worried about was Joker being able to pass on the phone.
>What, were you trying to argue that they had no way of knowing Sae was going to be there despite them literally stating they knew this? Yeah, this was so 100% in the books that she was called off the investigation and only showed up because she was stubborn. Denying that it was not only possible but highly probable that Sae wasn't gonna show up is retarded.
>Nobody could tell the difference. Again, as far as the PT know.
Source please. For real, I can't remember if this was explained like this in the game
>Nice speculation. It's literally in the game, mate. Had the shadows turned into smoke earlier, the jig would've been up. If the PT knew about this interaction, they would've been complete retards to go along with it. There is info about the physics of the MV that the PT do not know and Akechi might know.
To reiterate: My problem is that the PT do not acknowledge the most obvious of risks, not that the plan itself is not fool-proof, which is obvious it can't be in their position. And I blame that on the really bad writing.

Isn't this general already 24/7 shitposting
Isaac Russell
The anime is pretty fucking close how much extra traffic do you think we're going to get?
Zachary Roberts
It'll get even worse during summer.
Aiden Nguyen
Yeah but now every time there's a shitpost we blame it on summer so its different.
Daniel Morris
Ah, yes, because that's so different from the other 8~ months of shitposting.
I doubt it's going to be that bad. People just getting into it will want to avoid spoilers. Unless everybody that's left since summer returns for the anime which I guess is possible.
The saddest part is that those are pretty good % compared to some other games. Just from some games I own there is stuff like >13.3% have not finished the prologue in MGSV, which is the first thing you do and takes about 15 minutes >only 53% of players have ever done a single side mission >28.7% have never finished the first chapter in FF Type-0 and probably the king of them all >only 17.3% of players have beaten the first boss in Touhou Genso Wanderer
Adrian Nelson
>I honestly don't remember them being like "oh fuck they had drugs oops we didn't even think about that". To be fair, getting jacked on truth serum isn't exactly something I'd expect from an interrogation as well. You can maybe count for someone slamming you in the head, but not someone coming in with the hammer and driving nails into your finger. It's like accounting for the spiders in your cheeseburger.
>Yeah, this was so 100% in the books that she was called off the investigation and only showed up because she was stubborn. Denying that it was not only possible but highly probable that Sae wasn't gonna show up is retarded. She had a palace dedicated to cracking this shit open, it was reasonable to assume that she'd get to joker even if it involved a jackhammer and a plunger. You might as well be asking why they didn't count on Joker getting shot on the spot by the police.
>Source please. For real, I can't remember if this was explained like this in the game Different user, but there's only two real instances where you might see this. One is Cognitive Anne, who is struck down literally before Kamoshida's eyes, so of course his cognition would be that she be dead. The other are the ATMs in Kaneshiro's palace, some of which are functionally 'dead', but still around. The rest is just inferring.
>To reiterate: My problem is that the PT do not acknowledge the most obvious of risks, not that the plan itself is not fool-proof, which is obvious it can't be in their position. And I blame that on the really bad writing. When would they? No really, when would they acknowledge those? They admit afterwards that it was risky as fuck, but if they mentioned it beforehand, it wouldn't be a ruse. The ruse is just as much for Akechi and Shido as it is for you. If they tell you beforehand, you know what's coming. And there's not much need for them to elaborate post-ruse, since whatever they don't specifically say, you can easily tell it was just another risk factor.

I do not like Futaba's pose for the costumes.

I love how they all look mildly uncomfortable at best so they had to emphasize the fact that they are angry by drawing pulsating veins all over their body
>I honestly don't remember them being like "oh fuck they had drugs oops we didn't even think about that". Cool. They do though. >Denying that it was not only possible but highly probable that Sae wasn't gonna show up is retarded. LITERALLY the day before Joker is captured Sae tells Makoto she's going to the interrogation room to interrogate the suspect when he gets caught. They had no reason not to doubt this, Sae doesn't tell Makoto that her role on the case got dialed back. >Again, as far as the PT know. As far as anyone could tell, it literally looks no different. The guy last thread was joking but you don't seriously fucking think Akechi has become accustom to the "smell" do you? It is literally identical to the real world anywhere where her perception isn't warped. >Source please. It's in the game. It's not in one scene I can point you to, this is literally just how the whole game makes it clear they work. They are just people in the worlds inside peoples' minds, and work no differently to how a person would until they cannot exist because the cognition that formed them doesn't exist or has changed - hence the cop disappearing when he cannot be there anymore, and Joker no longer being a corpse. >Had the shadows turned into smoke earlier, the jig would've been up. Hence why Futaba fucking stalls both Akechi and Sae to make sure they don't cross paths and fuck shit up, are you now just pretending to be retarded? >My problem is that the PT do not acknowledge the most obvious of risks But they do. They literally spend half an hour talking about all the shit that could have gone wrong. Once again you're just a retard who barely remembers and failed to follow the game, holy shit this is getting old.
Nolan Gomez
Yeah it's weird. It's like they wanter her to have her left arm on her hip but messed up and left empty space between.
Jordan King
>There is info about the physics of the MV that the PT do not know Yes, because Wakaba went there in person to do all her research using the phone app or talking cat made by Igor that she didn't have What a fucking idiot
