Idk, should I be looking for a new character to improve? For any more experienced players here, do those four say anything about my preference or style or habits?
Don't feel too bad about it, I'm in the same boat. I keep hitting vanguard and being at my promo then I suddenly meet some smurf that absolutely smashes me. Fighting games aren't easy so don't feel bad about not getting good fast, not everyone is a prodigy. The best part about tekken is that with enough knowledge and practice you'll get good no matter how long it takes.
As for characters I can't help you there. I was lucky to find the character that offered me everything I wanted almost instantly and I'm having tons of fun with him.

From the videos I can say that you're very impatient with your attacks, it makes you whiff a lot and push buttons when you're not supposed to. Be more careful with spacing, you ideally want your opponent to whiff where you can punish him and try not to be predictable when you are actually going in. Also, block punish unsafe shit.

I like Spooky but not as a Tekken commentator to be honest.
Aris and Steve are annoying after you've heard them a few times, they mostly just repeat the same jokes over and over again (Aris doing it very intentionally nowadays to appeal to his fanbase, said fanbase is why he's there after all so it's understandable). When they both stop meming they're alright but those times are few and far between.
