o/ Today's a bit of a content / theorycraft post for you, because we've not had that for a while - based on upcoming changes and how Shadow Destroyer is going to benefit from them.
>1) Execute cast speed increase
A confirmed change is Execute not only has a -50% focus cost, but now has double cast speed, from ~1.8sec to ~0.9sec, but let's just call it 1 second less.
This gives you a full second more to DPS normally with. Providing you're unlucky af and NEVER get aransu resets, execute is on a 17 sec CD (BT 3 and Alluvion badge) and assuming you do 400K DPS normally (ignoring party buffs) you get to do an additional 400K dmg every 17 sec, for an extra ~23.6K DPS. This scales up as your gear does, and factoring party buffs in for increased value.
There's unlikely to be a window between Sandstorm Bracelet (which doesn't benefit as much from SB as Dragon) and this change, but assuming reasons beyond your control stop you getting Sandstorm before this change comes in, and assuming most WLs insta-SB on pull (when you're busy using execute) this allows you to get in an additional 900K+ dmg.
>2) Attack Speed Compensation
As of right now, light sin, wind KFM and light BD are laughing their faces off when it comes to the RNG for gear buffs - be it aransu stacks, VT neck, BT ear etc. Shadow Des on the other hand is the arguably slowest attacker in the game and suffers the most from low uptime on said buffs.
For the most part, the above 3 have at least 3x the attack speed of Shadow and assuming they bring all other class' chance of these procs up to what these 3 get, Shadow is due to be 3x as likely to get any gear buff, which gives a far greater chance of 100% uptime, as well as more Aransu resets, for more Emberstomps. It's hard to pin down exact numbers, but when Emberstomp is +20% dmg on all your main skills, you stand to gain at least 100K from this, scaling with gear.
That's all for today - and if this doesn't end up being all it cracked up to be, don't @ me.
