But old school mmo's let you level up towards a goal you could keep, dropped items and gold you could sell, and always had you chasing that level up. this is nothing like that.

How to Eureka:
Enter and ask for the timers, if the lv11~20 NM are dead leave and rejoin.
If not then follow the train to afk near spawns.
Leave after above are dead, never wait for low level spawns.

I loved to grind in ragnarok but this is just fucking stupid.

In all honestly I need people to play with. I hate playing MMOs alone.

this game is only a money printing machine at this point
>add bare minimum in patch cycles
>keep same development cycle each expansion
>dont come up with anything new but reference old FF games for everything
>re use models all the time from FF XI or just reskin existing models slightly for new content
>add expensive emotes and sets to the cash shop that easily could've been rewards for content
>make people wait a month until their sub expires to add small bits of extra content in sub-patches to make them resub again for content that doesnt last very long

People are forcing themselves to do it for a variety of reason (glamours, relic, etc.). And unfortunately since this is the "new and relevant" content and there's nothing else to do, it's either play Eureka and just don't do anything at all.

I just want the stupid mount, then I will never run it again until they put a jetpack dinosaur inside the next Eureka segment. It's an offensive concept to put an inferior F2P Korean grind into a P2P MMO that invalidates the previous BiS every six months, especially given that the skills in XIV are not interesting

I like Eureka but only when i'm fighting enemies 4~5 levels above me getting XP until a FATE spawns somewhere. Ain't nobody got time to wait around until one spawns and doing nothing.

is it best to just find chain grind parties? im not sure how much lvl 20 mobs give at my level for example, but it seems like fate trains just aren't very quick anymore when you need over 100k xp per lvl

After level 10 yes, you should do chain grind parties instead of stick with the NM train, unless you can do other things outside of the game whilst waiting for spawns.
