Just finished Echoes and god damn this game was fucking horrible. I didn't think I could find a game that felt even shittier than Fates.
I liked Awakening and some of Revelation's maps better even. The only thing I enjoyed was the direction they went with characters,
but they all feel the same and certain classes can't get third promotions just because.
The maps were atrocious and I genuinely would rather deal with reinforcements that move the same turn than witches, who felt like their only existence was to make you reset.
Fuck this game, the dungeons were god awful and fuck being forced to grind by unskippable encounters because I wanted to go take a shit at the forge. Who the fuck designed this game's maps? Wide as fuck and with literally nothing in it, 7 units in a 5 tiles wide fort being the only thing in a map that's 20x20 is absolute shit and let's not mention how full of weird chokepoints it is. Final mention to FUCK CANTORS WHO SUMMON WITCHES. The music was pretty nice though.

Flashing Blade is exclusively for charging Aether faster so it can be practically used in arena. I don't think it's worth running over fury or DC in normal circumstances. If you plan to merge her to +10, then it might be worthwhile for the potential build.

The story had a terrible pacing though, I can recall plenty of moments where nothing happened and I was forced to do 2-3 ten minute long maps with pirates or Rigelian knights or some shitty cantor located up his mother's ass in the middle of an endless swamp or plain summoning gargoyles for Kamui/Grey to slaughter and just become overleveled fucks. I think it had a decent story overall but the pacing killed it and it didn't help that not once I felt like someone was trying to stop me from invading Rigel. If the strongest defense they can put up is six horse archers and 1-3 casters inside some weird corridors then they are retards. I know story-wise it could sort of make sense but it doesn't make it any less anticlimatic. Rudolf was easy as fuck too and I had Mathilda with the ridersbane annihilating the walls full of horse archers, double lion and Delthea melted him turn 3 when he decided to ride straight in front of my army while being unable to hit anyone.

Alright, I'll consider it when I'm free to upgrade more Aether fodder then. I haven't touched this Mia since her TT so even if it doesn't pan out it'd hardly be a hit to me.

Awakening and Genealogy are worse than 7 or RD.

It kind of feels like you just didn't really adapt.

I don't mean that as an insult or anything, Echoes is a pretty faithful remake of Gaiden which means it's early Kaga experimental shit. The maps become a lot less of a slog once you start doing tricky Warp/Shove/Swap/Invoke strats.

The game is definitely a bit too easy though, I hate Grind Emblem.

RD had good writing and it handled most of the multi-faceted elements well, it was just too large-scale for it's own good and that necesitated some dumb shit.

FE7 wasn't interesting in the slightest, it was literally just evil sorcerer wants to reap souls for necro powers.

Fates was... I don't even know.

I feel that sometimes as well, like today when all I did was the two daily tempest runs. I found that my interest in the game fluctuates regularly, just wait until more content or until you find interest in building a good iv 3-4* that you roll.
