I'm doing investigations but if I don't have the monster I try regular quests. Haven't got any crowns from regular quests though NOT A SINGLE ONE other than the events
I recall looking at a particular trophy hunting psn forum post that said particular investigation stats for each individual monster can result in almost always giving a crown with it Example would be like Barroth 30 mins 2player only 3 reward 5 uses And it almost always gives a small gold crown repeatedly.
They might be wrong and full of shit, but there seemed to be quite a few people coordinating to try and share ones that have them crowns over and over with some confirming it worked when they got the same quest.

It's not difficult You just spend most of the fight doing jackshit because the monster is underground, and all you can do it wait
And even when it comes out, as soon as you break a part, it stops being a weakpoint forever So at some point the entire monster is a grey hitzone where not only you do chip damage, but you don't have any way of "mellowing" it anymore

Not him, but if you're thinking along the lines of "Well, Jhen Mohran is bigger" you didn't get his point. Hypermassive ones are much less impressive than Diablos, because you don't actually "Fight" them, you just play with toys around them and you don't get hit once until they're dead.
But with monsters that are massive while still being at the right size to be fought by a human you feel the danger. That's exciting.

Part of the missing aesthetic is the ancient civilization relics that have always been in the maps. It feels weird having a forest without pyramids, or any of the collapsed towers or aqueducts.
None of the fights really involve waterfront either, even if you can't go in the water besides the few cinematic area transitions it would be neat to see a monster swimming to an island and then using your glider mantle or slinger to cross it.
