Iirc the base crit for those weapons was only 20% and with talents and gear it could be bumped to 35%. I'm trying to find the reddit post where the guy went and tested on the dummies but not having much luck so far.

so im testing the long bow and swift bow on dummies, the long bow deals 3325 while the swift bow deals 2525
its not that big of a damage difference and by the time you get 1 arrows with the longbow you can get 2 with the swift bow so why do people say to use the longbow?

Ammo efficiency and when there's 10 stormvermins coming at you you really want to take care of them quickly because there will be similar pack around the next corner.

Really makes me wish ammo was much more scarce, ranged weapons seem to be the most OP shit in this game and giving everyone infinite ammo just encourages shit like this. They're literally bringing a gun to a knife fight and it trivializes half of the game.

Why does my beam staff not destroy enemies like anons say it does? What am I missing? I am fully aware about the heat sink right mouse button thing, but left mouse button does fuck-all for damage.

you still have career skills, so waystalkers/pyromancers/bounty hunters technically have ranged attacks
honestly sounds way more fun than how the game currently is
medium range you have to avoid teammates in melee so you are not going for headshot then

There is a datamined spreadsheet on the fatshark forums. Base crit is 5%, the one Kruber career has +5%, shade has +5% and the elfs dual weapons have another +10% crit chance.
So 15% crit base for elf dual wield.

You don't really beam that much. Just beam for a short moment and then RMB.
You can beam through a far away crowd for a bit of dot damage for low overcharge cost and get some crit proccs to lower you overcharge or stagger something otherwise don't.
champ is very doable but yeah legend is almost entirely reliant on the ability of your ranged classes to pick off all the enemies before they reach you

Shitter. I headshot stunlock chaos knights from any range with it without even using zoom. The weapon is almost pinpoint accurate with the on target talent despite what the reticle says.

Seeing Skaven generally fight Lizardmen and Dwarves its unlikely bows would work on those so they moved onto guns which they copied from dwarfs.
Imo some models use slings and blowguns.

Hey lads, I'm thinking about getting this game soon, which character is easiest to pick up for a beginner? I dig the lore behind kruber and salts the most, but I'm not sure how they play

kruber is easiest to play, getting used to the melee combat system is the most important thing to learn

Elf is the perfect starter character
She's literally too perfect though, she has everything available to her and teaches bad habits. I'd still recommend her for an easy starting experience but make sure you understand why it's easy so you can actually take the crutches off safely later on

WH fantasy is a pretty rich setting, I wouldn't enjoy this game nearly as much if it was some generic zombie garbage
